Imagine how handy it would be to utilise Mcgovern as a damaging swing man, ala the new Hunter.
This should be his role but unfortunately, as usual, injuries once again raise their awful heads to give us the shits.
I'm not convinced that is the case. This is a "Toast" thread, not a "Still Need Convincing" thread...
I'm not convinced Gov is going to be good enough once we face a side like Sydney (Gov on Buddy, Schofield on Tippett?!???)
Brisbane's KPFs were non existent, Ditto Carlton.
Long term he's either third tall down back against the taller sides or FF.
I'd rather him at FF. Barrass's development will go a long way in determining how we use him.
Surely Gov takes the stronger Tippett and Schoey the more mobile Franklin, ala how Brown would take Franklin over EricI'm not convinced Gov is going to be good enough once we face a side like Sydney (Gov on Buddy, Schofield on Tippett?!???)

and they could always bring back Goodes too.Yep - given they also might have Reid stroll through there at times - I wonder whether McInnes will spell in defence as well.
I reckon Reid will play primarily between the arcs, as per the last half against Fremantle. 17 possessions in a half of footy was massive for him, and something they should try from the get goYep - given they also might have Reid stroll through there at times - I wonder whether McInnes will spell in defence as well.
*crosses fingers*and they could always bring back Goodes too.
I'm not worried, I just believe he's of more worth as a forward than a defender, but let's face it, we haven't seen him up against a KPF of any real merit so how can anyone say? He's actually one of the most versatile talls I've seen, I can see him anywhere in the spine - FB, CHB, Ruck (in a pinch), CHF, FF. He might not be able to totally shut down one of the premier forwards but on the flip side he's likely to also generate some rebound so we at least have a chance to give as good as we get.
Honestly we have much bigger things to worry about than our defense when we next play Sydney.

I think that McGovern is playing so well that Buddy with play as a defensive forward on him.I'm not worried, I just believe he's of more worth as a forward than a defender, but let's face it, we haven't seen him up against a KPF of any real merit so how can anyone say?
I reckon it would be pretty hard to find that many.Imagine having 22 McGovern's

Will have to look back at last year's games I guessTrue, though to be fair I'm not sure we've seen him up against a KPD of any real merit either.
