The league's best midfield?

Geelong
Carlton
Hawthon
Collingwood

Geelong's midfield is so good its covering some pretty serious forward line problems.

Carlton's and Hawthorn's midfield is covering some defensive issues, though they are lessening for both clubs game by game.

Collingwood's midfield is very good, and complements a good defensive and attacking line. Hence they're the best team going around (not the best mid-field though).

You've suddenly switched from talking about Cats '07 to Cats '10.
Cats '07 were comfortably better than Pies '10, IMHO.

Again, you've jumped years, yet still they finished ahead of you, you crashed out in a semi, they failed in the big dance.

Because they finished with 2 points more or was it because they lost the GF?, pies 2010>>>>cats 2008, to suggest otherwise is complete muppetry.

Oh dear.

You're confusing years again. Best leave this.

also are you forgetting we beat them by 12 goals in the 08 season?

That's what i responded too. ;)

Judd and Murphy alone don't constitute a midfield.

A dozen names capable of rotating through the midfield is what makes a complete midfield.

Collingwood's is the best or at the very least on par with Geelong's. There's no disputing that.

myb you didnt see mitch robinson yesterday (BOG), not to mention gibbs, scotland, curnow, kreuzer, simpson, armfield.

not saying we are the best in the comp. but we dont rely on judd/murphy as much as people think.

Judd had a poor game by his standards last night, so i guess we won by 10 goals with just Murphy as our sole midfielder .

sometimes you really need to step back and look at the complete and utter garbage you post ..because quite frankly you embarrass yourself with that kind of ignorance .

This is the normal reaction to everything you post ...clearly you struggle with reality and intelligent conversation .

Judd=swan
Murph=pendles (being kind)
Thomas>> the rest of your midfield combined
Ball>> you 3rd mid
wellingham and didak>>> your 4th mid
Jolly>>your entire ruck division
Me>>>You.

Fixed that for you and I gather from the rest of your post you have no idea who even plays for the blues.

Geelong's midfield has been and still is the premier midfield of the competition.

Because swans injured, he wont be injured for ever mate, both fully fit there's nothing between them.

Geelong without ablett better than collingwoods? umm, i don't think so.

Your entitled to your opinion but from an unbiased point of view and as an added bonus a long time hater of Judd even when Swan is at his fittest he is nowhere near being in the same league as Judd in the midfield.

As for the Geelong story - it would be good to see how much their midfield has statistically changed with Ablett gone and how they perform head to head with Geelong. Maybe that will give you something to do today so that you can rub everyones nose in it.

Lol, funny shit.

Swan on one leg>>Judd

Are you basing this on our game with the cats a few weeks ago? the game where we played cam wood instead of jolly?, maybe you should go back and look through last years games when jolly played (even with ablett) to see who the superiour midfield is champ. :thumbsu:

Like I said it's an opinion and no I wasn't basing it on one game but over the past few seasons and based on those stats Judd is the in and under man and Swan sits on the outside waiting for the ball but hey champ if you think swan is the better man then you run with it I was only offering up an unbiased opinion and tbh really couldn't give a shit either way.

Unbiased? lol

Current AFL MVP (by a record margin), coaches award winner, HSUN medalist. AGE medalist, 3 time copeland winner isnt anywhere near as good as chris Judd. :thumbsu:

Is that why he was 3rd for total clearances last year?, must be pretty good getting all those clearnces whilst waiting on the outside, think before you post.

Give me the dozen names that indicates you have a better midfield than Collingwood. Your pal Kenny seems to think Carlton have the second best midfield in the comp.

Ran off names such as, wait for it, Armfield.

Puh-lease!

Saying Swan is "no-where near as good" as Judd is wrong. If you changed the wording to "not quite" as good or something along those lines, it becomes more correct. Swan doesn't have the "put the team on my shoulders and carry them to victory" thing going like Judd does.

Good to see you listed those in the correct order of importance :thumbsu:

i.e. The Copeland is a lesser award than a junky newspaper award.
He probably won the award at the Coburg RSL too. That should be included.
