I love this one.

They played the Suns at Marvel in their previous game, but that didn't suit the agenda so he decided to give us an extra and leave that one out.
So one away game in Canberra, one away game in Melbourne, and two home games across the month?

START

Yeah they aren't that great, we could have beaten Melbourne today if we didn't have so many players that shit themselves when the pressure comes on.

We could have done with Jack Hayes today, he is one of our few players that could handle the pressure and kick a goal when it counts.

END

So if the St.Kilda players didn’t make mistakes when under pressure, they could’ve won. I guess that’s true, but the whole point of Australian Football is the team that executes best under pressure tends to win. What if the Melbourne players didn’t make mistakes when under pressure?

And yes, that’s five game six goal club legend Jack Hayes that could’ve made a big difference.

Melbourne were undefeated in 2012 and 2013 at training but for some reason looked shit on game day once some pressure was applied.

fu** I hope they go undefeated and get pumped in the GF.

Their supporters need to be brought back down to reality. They have become ******* unbearable and think they’re better than 01-03 Lions, 13-15 Hawks and Tiges combined.
It’s Sickening, almost like they’ve completely forgotten they were the biggest embarrassment of a club for the last 15 years before their flag. All it takes is a c Couple of injuries to the likes of Petracca, Oliver, Gawn, May etc and they’ll be brought down a peg.

Not so much looney but certainly one of the most salty I've seen. Haha
Saint supporters should count themselves lucky were rubbing it in their faces instead of the faux sympathy and unwanted advice Richmond supporters had for crap sides when they were winning

Saints supporters deserve it after telling us that we've just beaten shit teams all year. Then we smashed them and suddenly it's we can match them, we would have learnt a lot from that game. So Melbourne have gone from flat track bullies to being a great learning experience being such a good side.

BigFooty analysis at its best.

"We'd be good if we weren't so shit."

That guy should start a Lab.

Freo have beaten Geelong yes. But let’s not forget they’ve played West Coast, Essendon and North.
It’ll be interesting to see how they go against Brisbane and even Bulldogs and Port once they start getting a run on.

Ah yes now that Melbourne beat someone, let's turn our attention to freo the new pretenders.

**** I hate Melbourne.

Never has any sporting organisation been so undeserving of a period of dominance.

Their current side is nothing more than a collection of plum draft picks gifted to them through years of being utterly pathetic on and off the field in addition to blatant tanking in order to get said picks.

Handed Paul Roos as a coach to bail them out on the field and Peter Jackson as CEO off the field

Hopefully they eventually get smashed by injuries and/or Brisbane or Fremantle get them.

Bitter? Angry? Yep. And I don’t care.

**** Melbourne, may they get beaten in September by Brisbane or Freo, be found to be cheating the salary cap, Simon Goodwin to be found to be having affairs with the partners of Gawn, Petrecca, Oliver and May, and their board be found to be making financial donations to Vladimir Putin.

Nauseating.
One of the better melts from the the western board.

The poor dog supporters were really banking on us being one season wonders while they ascended to their rightful place as the dominant force of the comp this year. Sad.

Mayne in his era id agree with that but honestly in this day and age I’m not sure that’s the case. Obviously their top end is performing much much better than ours this year but tbh on paper I don’t think there’s much between us. Gawn, Oliver, Petracca would only just pip English, Bont, Macrae but then our midfield depth completely overshadows there’s, and not by a small margin.

May = Keath, Lever/Petty much better than our 2nd/3rd talls but our small defenders wipe there’s. Langdon > Hunter on the wing but not by a huge amount. Naughty miles better than any tall they have in their forward line, throw in Bruce (obviously injured this year) and our tall forwards wipe theirs. Cody/Pickett similar.

As you say it’s easy to look good when everything’s going well, and this year it’s easy to say their top end talent is wayyyy better than ours. But it shouldn’t be. There should not be the gap that there is between the two sides right now.

So what’s the reason? f’ed if I know but I don’t think it’s the talent of our list

Doggies fans still don’t get it. May and Keath on the same level? Pickett and Weightman? Gawn/Oliver/Trac and English/Bont/McCrae? LOL

Langdon only slightly better than Hunter the best one

Saints are taking it well. Pray for Geelong

FMD, we get beaten and everyone thinks the team is crap , There stars could not of played any better - we got murdered in the first half and in the 2nd broke even - we have every chance to beat them - but were shell shocked in the first half , you don't win a flag in May - we have massive improvement in this team and I'll tell you this I would not want to be Geelong next week.

dunno who said this but lol.
glass house much

dislike saints for a few reasons, none being there success
LOVE, making sure they are bitter that there silly for taking a flight risk forward over a "man child" that turned into the a forward/Mid explosive player that changes the complexion of a game (Trac)

This is a cracker.

Some talk about how May elbowed Higgins in the head after receiving a 50m penalty.

Someone posts this.

To which someone else responds “Deliberate elbow to the head of a guy just back from concussion. He won't go down to protect the umpires call but he should be sited. It was a decent whack. Lucky he wasn't knocked out hitting him in the temple.”

Got to love Melbourne supporters, the old "winning a premiership" line to make themselves feel better that not everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
I have been kind in as I haven't mentioned the additional help from a certain umpire that helped Melbourne keep that margin during the game.
but this is just how Melbourne supporters want to act then fine, have at it. arrogance isn't becoming of a team that has won 1 premiership and nothing else for the last 20 years. And I can't wait for the old tired " but Saints haven't won any". Saints would be equally as good if the AFL had intervened and given them a premiership winning coach. Your a charity case the AFL are propping up trying to get more memberships out of but that hasn't occurred as most of your fan base are fair weather, they see the cliff that you don't and don't want to be associated with another 25 years of bottom 6 after the AFL are done with you.
