Finally checked out the scorecard from the USA VS Pakistan game.
Mmmmm, The names on the Pakistan team sheet were easier to pronounce than the USA one 😂😂

Other than Leverock, who was a random bloke from a random associate, barely semi pro island team, I don't think I've seen anyone as fat as Azam. Cornwall is a bulky lad but Azam has the sloppy excess sugar and junk food rig. His father must have some serious pull in Pakistan selection.

Yeah guys like Warne and Merv Hughes were fat relative to other cricketers, most of whom are very fit. Azam is fat even relative to the average middle aged dad bod in the crowd.

As an aside to the fat cricketers XI, Paul Stirling (Ireland) has really been letting himself go in recent years.

Going through the US team they are literally made up of naturalised Indians who treat the sport as a part time job.

How absolutely embarrassing by Pakistan.
You'll be surprised to hear which one was born in Alabama.

Also Aaron Jones who hit that 94* vs Canada was born in New York.

Every associate is generally started up with expats. The game doesn't grow much internationally otherwise.

His dad is Moin Khan, former captain and at one point was Chief Selector/Team Manager. Don't think he's doing the last 2 anymore.

But in short, he's a nepobaby

Will post this one here for anyone interested - our first cricket-focused episode. A bit of a long one, but a good one.

This fortnight we take a look at some of the luckiest and unluckiest cricketers in history. If you like laughing at the misfortune of English cricketers especially, it's worth a listen.

Skip to around the 20 min mark if you want to get straight into the cricketing opinions and stories. Tune in wherever you listen to your podcasts.

The boundary on one side was 58 meters.
That's junior cricket grounds.
Would just clear the infield at the MCG

Pakistan will need to win their last 2 games, and hope the USA don't beat Ireland as well.

Really hope they don’t make it through. Hard to go Pakistan as the most pathetic performance in this tourney so far. Lost to the USA, then knocked over their arch rivals for 119 and somehow managed to lose from needing just a run a ball halfway through the chase, with 9 wickets in hand. The ESPN calculator put their win probability at >96% at that point, but in true Pakistan fashion they managed to stuff it up.

They are fair dinkum the biggest bunch of pea hearts in world cricket at the moment. Their loss to USA was embarrassing while India have been all over them mentally for a long time now. Pakistan are far too reliant on Babar Azam to make runs at the top and to a lesser extent Rizwan while their middle order is generally unreliable and lacks firepower.

England flogged them in the two T20I's they played last month which highlighted the same batting issues they've had during this tournament.

Their next game is against Canada tomorrow, so it'll be interesting to see how they respond as it is a must win game and they need to rely on USA losing their next two.

I understand that the wickets have not been great, especially in some of the US venues, but it’s kind of nice seeing some lower score and sides being able to defend targets in the low 100s after the IPL run-fest where targets of 200+ were getting chased down regularly.
I would expect the American audiences would want to see loads of big hits and maybe be a bit disappointed with low totals.

On the other hand, they might look at a score of 120 and think that's a massive amount of runs.
