Australia and India really should be going through to the semi finals from our group. Bangladesh game should be used for NRR gain and Afghanistan could be tricky but should still be a win.

Interesting hypothetical, but lets say we win our first 2 games, and South Africa beat England.

Puts us in a scenario where by
1. If we beat India, we finish top and play England in the Semi Final
2. If we lose to India, we finish second and play South Africa in the Semi Final (where they are notorious for choking)

Number 2 would be the better outcome no ?

Assuming of course its 1A vs 2B and 2A vs 1B, which is perhaps taking it for granted with the ICC. Could be Semi Finals arranged in alphabetical order for all we know.
Also assuming we are capable of beating India.

Lots of scenarios to play out. Most likely we will be playing India in a dead rubber game however. They will play like superstars.

I know they're still South Africa, but their bowling is as good as anyone, and any of QDK, Miller or Klaasen could win a semi by themselves. Dunno if I'd rather play them over the Poms

Its currently monsoon season in the Caribbean, would rather finish top regardless of opponent so we get the default win if finals get rained out.
