Assertion 1 - Pro Palestine voters didn't vote for her.
Assertion 2 - White men and women didn't vote for her.
Assertion 3 - Older voters didn't vote for her.

She won more votes than Trump from the over 65s, well as of about 5 hours ago.

I mean it's been documented for weeks that pro-Palestine voters have struggled to support Harris.

And you already indicated that older voters voted for Trump.

I don't suppose you listened to any of the many long form podcasts he has done over the last few months?

I haven't had insomnia so haven't felt the need.

Hate to break it to you, but just because people don't like the truth doesn't make it any less true. When people make claims of systemic racism, just because it's uncomfortable to hear doesn't make it a valid criticism.

I also don't actually work for Harris so me saying it and pointing out the obvious doesn't mean she did it.
It doesn’t need to come from her or the party directly to have an impact. It’s been a narrative driven for a decade now by supporters and it’s done nothing to help the democrat cause.

Just today social media has been full of white democrat voters directly telling minorities who voted for Trump how they’ve voted against their own interests. Now that’s not directly the party’s fault but their rhetoric towards Trump supporters for years has stoked those fires, and it will do nothing to help them win future elections.

thank you for the data. This is what I was referring too earlier:

Would be good if data was available that combined the two data sets.

Dutton is extremely dangerous, far more than Abbot imo. Admittedly that's a view based on limited information from the other side of the world but I can't imagine he's changed much over the years. The attack dog could be in charge.
His background as police is the unhelpful part. I'm all for law and order etc but he wants to take it a step further like usual. I mean all you have to do is look at his days as Immigration/Home Affairs minister, or his recent stance on blocking palestinian refugees.

Nothing can be done about it. You get the same from the Trump side and it doesn't seem have to have an impact.

I doubt people getting teased on social media had much of an impact on this election.

You seriously think people going on about shit on social media is the cause?

Come on dude. Be better.

Thinking aloud, does the successful campaigns of Barack Obama reduce the systemic racism argument a touch?

Maybe the sexism argument is greater or is the thinking that the combination here is unique and could not be overcome regardless of ability? i.e. people that won't vote for a non-white + people that won't vote for a woman > Democratic voters?

I say his victories sparked the racists to come out.

So like I said, your data proves my point that older men voted for Trump..?
at the risk of being pedantic, you said older voters and older women voted for Harris, in fact women as a whole voted for Harris.

Agreed. Back when I followed Aus politics, he was running Immigration. He's fanatical about this stuff.

That is plausible. Maybe Obama being an incredibly good politician + his opponents being dreadful allowed him to overcome the prejudices of voters at the time.

Older male voters was what I meant, although I don't know if we have the demographic split by age and race as you said, as I would think older white women would have voted more for Trump.

I also think the discourse in America pre-GFC was very different to what it morphed into with the rise of Trump which actively encouraged people to 'say the quiet bits out loud'.
