GWS has continually talked about player welfare but simply used this kid as a pawn to make a point to the other clubs. And now it is coming back to bite them on the ass. Suck it clowns.

I blame Sheedy he instilled a pompous Melbourne power club mentality that a team in West Sydney simply wasnt ready for.
So how will this affect Hogan, if he decides he wants out?
TBH, I hope we'll just sit back and do nothing for now. GWS probably still thought that this is some grand conspiracy between us and Young to get Cam over cheap.
I feel for Cam, but last I check, he is still a GWS listed player. They should fix the problem, not us.
They'll come to us if they want to do the right thing. TBH I won't be the least surprised if they have another "point to prove" and delist him instead.

Have to agree. I think his value will seriously go down. Hopefully it doesn't make the kid give the game away altogether.

We won't go near him as there is nothing we can do, until trade period starts up. We may liaise with his manager but I can't see that happening until late in the year.
Said at the time, I can understand GWS playing hardball but all indications were that it was with the wrong player.

Knowing a fair bit about western Sydney when GWS first came in thought it would be good as lot people out there but afl just set up a franchise with no sole, still got friends out there and even there pissed off that it does not have anything to do with western Sydney. It's like another McDonald's store which is a pity because there could've been a good opportunity to get the game stronger. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Hope McCarthy gets it all together and good luck.

More to the point, they probably do know their players and how they are feeling but are being driven by a flawed
Model. Worse still, the AFL is complicit.
This issue sure brings out the flogs on the main board.

OK, last time I looked it was "Suspended", now "Cancelled by User".
Bushie must have fallen on his sword - hopefully he'll be back with another alias at some point.
McCarthy was demanding 750k/season last year from reports. Next year, we could sign him for far less than that considering he is potentially out for this season, the difference can go towards Hogans deal.
