Not sure if you can accuse GWS of not caring for Cam's welfare. All clubs are very aware of player welfare and GWS have been quite supportive to Cam. The fact is Cam is contracted and GWS do not have to trade him. He can take all the extended leave he wants but he is their player.

Obviously it will become a topic of conversation during the next trade period but until then all we can do is wait. No amount of "GWS don't care about cam" is going to get him here any quicker, in fact I think it would only make GWS more resolved to dig in their heels.

After Fremantles dealings with Young over the Clark deal a few years back, IMO he's part the problem, not certain he speaks truth to much.

I think he is being unfairly demonized.

Did Colin Young think to advise CM before he signed a contract extension to hold off and wait and see what Fremantle offer? He surely must have known about a desire to come home before he signed. CY is a dumb arse if you ask me.

He should care about how his actions effect the relationships these stakeholders have with his players. He may get them the best coin / to where they want to go, but at what cost? How does it effect his players earnings through endorsements AND future work in the media etc.

He is a genuine flog who burns bridges in the industry.
