I'm pretty happy with where we are going as a team. There were signs last year but i feel its a lot more apparent this year.

A few of the younger brigade have already taken it to another level and seem much more composed at this level. Eg. Berry was fantastic that first week and hasnt looked back.

I think the most pleasing thing is that we have been in all the games so far. But without standout performances from our best players Zorko, Beams etc. If we can get all of our players firing on the same day, I think we can give any team a run for their money.

Its going to be an interesting year, one that will probably prove very frustrating, in that we are close but cant quite finish of a game. But its so nice to see we are finally on the way up

The biggest positive for me was that it was a full team performance.
If you look at the individual stats, other than Stef, there were no real standouts. Everyone played their role and that is the most exciting thing for me.
Especially without their Captain, as a last minute out.:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

McCluggage is starting to come along nicely. I must admit I was concerned last season when he wouldn't go in at times but this year he is almost always the first. Sure he's still a twig but at least he is willing to put his body on the line which is something you either have or you never will. Can't wait to see him in 3 seasons time when he is at ideal playing weight. Starting to play like his draft years as a balanced midfielder who can push forward and impact the scoreboard.

His partner in crime Berry is going to be our prime midfielder that we can build around IMO. Amazing awareness, elite ability to change direction, tackling & pressure and safe hands will make him a top 15 player in the league IMO. Does the small things extremely well and a natural leader who will captain this club in 4 years time IMO. Absolute gun and easily my favourite player since Aker.

HERES A POSITIVE

WE ARE ONLY 4 PREMIERSHIP POINTS BEHIND GEELONG!

And the dogs, bombers...

THATS ONE WIN

It’s tough knowing how we could easily be 2-1, 3-0 etc but after our gallant efforts thus far we are bottom. It’s very deflating...

But all is not lost and the season is long!

The fixture gets much easier soon. You never know, I’m still confident we will get on a roll and push for those 8-10 wins

LETS HOPE FOR ANOTHER INSPIRING EFFORT AGAINST THE TIGS.

I am a big Berry fan but I truly believe Bailey will be our best player in four years time. I recon his upside profile is enormous.
Also, Saturday was big for the club as it showed our kids are the real deal. Up until Saturday I was hopeful and was pleased with the gold nuggets we were seeing. Saturday the gold nuggets turned into the Mother Lode! Strap in everyone as the next 5-6 years are going to be fun!

I must admit the two goals Bailey kicked in the reserves were very exciting.
