I saw on the AFL app about quarters won that we were equal last on 8. I had a quick look at all our games this year and of the quarters lost (20), we lost 6 quarters by a goal or less and another 2 quarters by 6-10 pts. Which leaves 12 quarters lost; of which 4 were all from the Richmond shocker. That’s an improvement which made me feel pretty positive that we have a few wins heading in our direction soon!!

I saw some of that analysis and it became clear that most of our problems were the first quarter. If we cleaned up that we really would be in games.

Knew a cyclist years ago who was magic in a time trial. His secret was doing a flat out 3 min sprint timed so he hit the start line with 1 second to wait. His theory was he wasn’t scared of going hard from the start cause he was already hurting and the whole race was about holding on. i personally think he was firing up his mongrel.

Maybe our boys need a bit of thumping in the warm up.

A huge positive for us this year, is the very low number of players on our injury list, pretty sure at time of writing it is 3.

Compare that with all the soft tissue injuries going on at the crows...and surprise surprise former Lions football staff Brett Burton and Matt Hass are running things down their.

Oscar as a forward and ruckman is a postive for mine. Loved his handball to Cameron that created a goal. Will start marking it more and more soon. Cameron is serious threat and definitely worth pick 12.
Definitely pressing a case for a regular call up.
He can take a contested grab, which we dont have many of.

Chris Fagan the biggest positive for me this week. I don't think he had a great night as a coach but I also don't think he was really outcoached throughout the night either. The positive is another A+ press conference this week, do other people also get the feeling that Fagan has a very real belief that this team is going places? His confidence in our teams development has gone a long way in keeping me optimistic about where we are headed.

Insightful KissKiss. Against the Dogs we actually beat them from the 8 minute left in the first quarter stage as we were down 27-7. Final margin 14 points. I am starting to believe we are only a few players away from top 8 contention. Need one or two inside bulls (Cripps or Oliver like) and a good full forward who can kick a bag. Probably won't be able to trade in top players until we start putting wins on the board to confirm improvement and promise. It will happen.
