Positive.... Steven May faces weeks on the sidelines being of literally no use at all to his team, and was the catalyst for them to lose.
Makes me feel very positive.

Isn't it enjoyable to see our guys play like the really actually desperately don't want to lose, and react so joyously when they win.

Loved richies reaction towards to crowd.

Leppa said post-match that halftime came at a good point, allowing him to channel the team's aggression of May's hit into a motivating force to win the game. The positive for me was how well we controlled our anger. I, like everyone else on here, was absolutely furious. The boys did so well to keep calm and not let tempers boil over. It would've been easy to retaliate and want blood. This was a really mature response (Y)

Martin sits on 98 games and Lewy sits on 48. If Martin gets the all clear to face the Bulldogs they should be lining up against the Swans at the Gabba in Round 6 playing their 100th and 50th games respectively.

If Bundy plays the next 9 games he will play his 100th against the Eagles at the Gabba in Round 13. If Zorko plays the next 16 games he will play his 100th at the Gabba against the Blues in Round 21.

So if all goes to plan they will all play their milestone games at the Gabba!

amazing what a win will do to our outlook re our list and it's potential, even perennial whipping boys mayes, harwood, lester, bewick and c.beams are getting some love. can't recall too many derogatory comments since the win, no need for a vent thread.

if we beat the dogs this week? we're a chance for the 8, the swans follow win that top 4, followed by easy beats port and the pies. we're on a roll:). i'm glad i'm a september member;).

wasn]t really sure where to put this but it was so overwhelmingly positive I thought i'd put it here.

Craig and Mellie Lambert.
Club is a family.
We look after our own.

Steff gets knocked out, spends the night at the Lamberts, just so he's got the club keeping an eye on him looking out for him. How F'n spot on is that. When you've taken a knock and need family around, you have family around.

Remember this is not a young kid who we are trying to convince to re-sign, he has already extended. We are looking after him because that's what we do, not because we are trying to get his signature.

I've been proud of a lot of things in the last 48 hours, but maybe that more than anything.

I was positively very happy with the way Zorks not only lifted his game in the second half but also the self control he showed. Looked completely unflappable and focussed.

Looked like the Plastics were trying desperately to get him to lose his cool........buffetting him, mouthing off and generally giving him a hard time.

Well done the Magician:thumbsu:

They played well. That's a positive in itself. Lester still copping it, though some have been kind enough to like 'aspects' of his game.

Just read some where (i know rite, weird) that we are 6th for shots on goal. That's something. Isnt it?
That's pretty good actually. Imagine if we even converted just 1/4 of all those behinds.

For anyone watching the Lions through the first month, it's been plain to see turnovers have been their biggest killer. The anomaly is that while they've conceded the most points from turnovers, they are the most frugal with giveaways. Dig a little deeper though and you'll see that unforced giveaways is their Achilles heel – ranked 15th in the comp. They're being bolder with ball movement from the back half, but cough it up too easily, and any missed kick – generally unforced – is being punished with quick transition and opposition goals. - Michael Whiting

Points conceded from turnovers in 2016: 73.8 a game (ranked 18th)
Giveaways (turnovers from an error): 74 (ranked first)
Most turnovers this season: Tom Cutler (19)
Most points conceded from turnovers: Harris Andrews (42)

Thats really good considering we've playing 3 top 6 teams and the conversion should only get better, what I'm worried about though are the goals conceded.

I'd guess that goals conceded would also drop off a bit when we play less offensively efficient teams. We're turning it over too much (EDIT: maybe it's more accurate to say too much in dangerous situations, looking a Milux 's post), but I think the outcomes of those turnovers have looked relatively dire because of the quality of the sides that we've played. Eventually we'll want to improve that, but I reckon there are lots of sides that won't punish us so harshly.

It is a hard gameplan to get right with training. Really you cant replicate the pressure and game situations of a real game, and that will make you make mistakes. The only way to improve is train the basics and keep playing the way we want to do. The more we do it the better at it we will get.

Loved Zorko's pre-game and half time team talk on the weekend. Stood in the middle of the circle and looked to be pointing a blokes giving them a rev up. Was fun to watch...
Yep .Zorko is playing like a leader. As he should be.Hope he keeps it up.
