My son and his Greek mate go to Oakleigh to get Souvlaki but they recently discovered Kolonaki Athenia Street Food in Wattle Tree Road in Malvern and swear by it. I haven't tried it myself though.

It passes the test. Five minutes from me, I'm there all the time.

There’s 12 Greek plates in martin street we know the owners and it’s authentic and spot on but it’s not my souvlaki. A place opened recently in Ormond road and I’ve given them a try as well, it’s pretty good but that same oakleigh style with the chips etc. This chapel street souvlaki was a thing of beauty, lamb on the charcoal spit for hours carved straight off served with lettuce tomato, onion and freshly made sauce. It was a nice restaurant and I never saw anyone other than me ordering takeaway he probably just humoured me.

Love a good lamb souvlaki pizza

I just moved and my new local (who thankfully is awesome) does a full on kebab pizza.
I'm not a fan of lamb but gave it a little try, and it tasted just like a kebab, complete with garlic sauce.
I'll happily stick to my spicy pizza though.

That's a massive overreaction. The ABC is generally the least biased broadcaster in Australia. Who ever made the show doesn't necessarily speak for the network.

I'm calling this out as POLITICAL and pretty dumb too. ABC is the most respected news source in Australia with an 80% trusted measure.
Just stick to SKY after dark maybe and mind your own business.

Media Watch is some of the best 15 minutes of tv a week.

Regularly goes after ABC News as well whenever they get sucked into a fake story or screw up.

I have a mate whose a journo who listened to a voicemail with me one day at a pub and I watched the poor bloke turned white and he told me it was a producer at media Watch who wanted to chat.

He looked like he was about to throw up wondering what story he'd botched

Rome has a completely different style of pizza to Naples. They love the al taglio - the square one they sell by the slice there, often use a white base not tomato on them and a bit doughier like the NY ones. I like the thin Naples style with limited toppings. The roman panino though, they are so good.

I've heard a lot of people try Pizza in Italy, and are not impressed. A lot of Aussies particularly don't like the thin ones with limited toppings.
The ones I saw in the USA were a shocker.
Pizza with tomato and cheese $12 dollars. Add 1 topping $5.00 extra. Add 2 toppings $8.00 extra Add 3 toppings add $12.00
WTF? Where's the special with the lot ( hold the pineapple ).

Authenticity is one thing. But evolution can be good too.

Lebanese pizza often has a mince meat layer but haven't seen it cut off a rotisserie before.

Monash Pizza on Ferntree Gully Road was a decent and cheap Turkish Pizza.

They have their issues, sure, but shutting them down would be far worse for the country and the money saved wouldn’t make a single bit of difference anyway.

SBS had the good american shows like south park, Chappelle's show, drawn together, european T**ty movies, Great Aussie comedy (danger 5 anyone) and also the complete chad show that is inpector rex.
C31 was the fish show
ABC had the chaser, good comedy and also RAGE (another chance to see t***ies)
7 and 9 was boomer shit
10 was then young and youthful
