I assume that the choices they have for President is one of the contributors for the suicide rate.

One of the main problems caused by the internet is people looking at quirks of the US and assuming they apply unchanged to Australia
When you have record numbers of people living on the streets in the northern states , i'm thinking that's some excess mortality right there.

I'd be surprised if you could define fascism without reverting to Tumbler-speak.

Depends on region really.

The universal is far right & autocratic that exalts a nation or peoples above the individual, and it is a socio, economical, philosophical movement or regime towards this autocratic instance.

Since my nonna was Italio, fascio was just a bundle or grouping, this then got labelled to unions or work groups as a collection of work peoples, then some political minded people went all fascio rivoluzionario d' azione internationalista aka revolutionary group for international action who then pushed for Italy to get bent over in one of the world wars as lol to their army equipment & training.

But I digress, it was literally just a group/bundle/collection of things before it got all politicised later. Is why I love romantic languages and got very lucky with that Italio nonna and Austrian papi on my end, many a curse word known and recorded when young that not many knew what they meant...

I think it's unlikely the covid vaccine is killing too many people - not sure the numbers we're seeing are super different from what you'd expect in any broad-based vaccination program with a particular focus on old people.

But that said - I have a lot of sympathy for the conspiracy theory. If there was actually data that showed it was killing people, I highly doubt governments/pharma would publish it. Would open everyone up to too much liability. Might come out in 50 years or something if that's the case, like JFK assassination or whatever.

Just got off the plane in Sydney.
While disembarking I discover two of my co-passengers were Andrew Bolt and Peta Credlin; seated separately in forward economy on the port side.
Which got me thinking.
Did Qantas deliberately sit them on that side in order for the plane to maintain an even keel in flight?

Chairman's Lounge is where it's at tbh
I'm content with business and first class lounges. Sydney has a nice one, and Hong Kong has cabana suites and a restaurant - it's elite.

How do you feel about your carbon emissions from that flight? Do you feel bad for committing air travel
