Twitter is an echo chamber but tailors to your viewpoint. If you are right it will flood you with exactly the same opinions so that you become solidified and steadfast. Same on the left. It's an interesting platform but people need critical thinking skills to make sure that they don't become too boxed in.
The difference is if you're left leaning, you'll still be spammed with Musks posts as he's fiddled with the algo to boost his posts.

Most algos are apolitical, they will flood you with the content that you engage with. Whether that be opinions you disagree with that enrage you and cause you to debate, or opinions you agree with that you upvote and share.

Twitter is the first time where an algorithm has been altered on a platform wide scale to push a certain political ideology.

I suspect you're right, I unfollowed him a few weeks back (he posted too much), and any time I go to the "for you" page, it's all him. I know I could mute him, but whatever. I think the only people I've muted on Twitter is that Matt Walsh guy and Peter Fitsimmons (he's a loony flog, but I like his books). I've blocked the fake Tom Browne account, someone named Owen Benjamin, and for some reason I have both muted and blocked that Poker player Phil Helmuth. No idea why

I have been a hater since I was a kid. Didn't like him on News Radio, didn't like Fear Factor, hated The Man Show after he replaced Adam Carola and always thought his stand up was shocking.

I never would have guessed that he would go on to become probably the most influential comedian of all time.

I'm obviously not his target audience though, not just because of my politics, but I just find podcasts shit in general. I have tried with quite a few and I find them insufferable.

Have you listened to Adam Carolla's podcasts?

It's my favourite podcast, he is a better podcast host and a better Man Show host than Joe Rogan, he's a lot funnier and smarter.

Wtf? How about Facebook, Insta, YouTube, Google over the last few years? Literally de-platforming a president.

I don’t believe Twitter is the aLt RiGhT echo chamber it’s claimed to be, but if it is at least there’s some offset to the leftist cesspools of the others.

It's because of your perspective. When you're on the right, you will hear a blatantly alt right belief expressed and to you, it's not even a political statement, it's just common sense.

l don't get why you guys have to try and lie. You won, own it.

I've still got mates that try to claim that Musk is a liberal, like what more evidence do you need?

There is no “we”, I am Australian and have only voted “right” (Malcolm) once in my life.

I am also certainly not “alt right” lol

You really need to stop doing that.

I'm assuming you're talking about Fraser which would make you older than I'd thought you were.

If you don't consider John Howard and Scott Morrison right wing, I think your definitions are skewed.

I'll give you a pass on Turnbull as he seems to have been in the wrong party.

I’m 35, talking Turnbull

Exactly you have to love it he had me down as right wing recently. If you dare talk sense or push back on the latest lunacy you’re lucky not to be called a nazi.

Display any ability to think for yourself or refuse to down a pint of Koop aid and it’s alt right.

Good first session in Perth, India 3/40 with Kohli out. Feels like summer when the test matches start, hot day just need the cicadas to start.

I don't think I called either of you alt right or Nazis.

You both seem to lean right, am I wrong?

Yes you are actually, I think I’m like a lot of people I know we like to debate things but would be solidly centre left. The lines have shifted, I’m still the same guy who was a union member and rep at work who has until very recently been a rusted on labour voter.

I voted liberal is the last state election for the first time ever. I think when you stop listening to the voters and give them the finger you have to expect some push back.

My mistake, you're not right wing, you're one of those lefty liberal supporters we hear so much about 😜

I agree that the lines have shifted, the Overton window has moved significantly to the right in my lifetime on the stuff that really matters.

Glen Beck, shifted right, I’m going back to watching the cricket must be time for a beer.

We're 5 years behind in over rates, there is no time for beers, yell at them to do better.

And here I am making Ghandi look right wing, whilst the rest of you "out" leanings. Nah mates, go hard or go home and meet me in the bottom left border. We'll have a party and it'll be lit.

I might have a yell at the local cricket tomorrow but with the heat I’ll just wander over the car park and have a swim I think. Local farmers market before the heat, watch a few overs if we’re bowling, swim, watch a few more then home for the second session of the test. My old club where my son in law now plays, he’s an opening bowler so I’ll catch up with some mates and go home out of the heat if we’re batting.

Whereas my plan was load up kayo on tablet, cold water bath it and set up tablet to continue India punishment until cool change in which case I might decide to go for a walk and look at probate lawyers so someone not me can slap a bitch so I can still look pristine.

Your plans sound much better.

The fact we are 5 overs behind in the first session is an outrage
