When those tariffs hit every US company is going to pass on the costs.

This could affect us.

We dig shit out of the ground and sell it to china and mining makes a big part of our 3rd world style economy. Having to deal with bullshit out of the worlds largest economy is not ideal.
And that’s the USA’s problem because?. Trump uses that bombastic approach as an opening gambit. If it has in the past helped him make other deals then great.

Frankly it amazes and bemuses me that Australian’s and others think that the US owes you a living. The presidents elected to serve the American people, how would you like it if Albo put other countries interests first ?.

Anyway I’ve been worried about my kids future leading into this election and I honestly think we’ve had a massive win, I’m going to enjoy it tonight.

I’d wondered if I’d ever return to the US, now I’m sure I will and my family there is over the moon about his win.

We are both in Australia and we are both part of the Australian economy.

Every US president election has ramifications on the world, and it has ramifications on Australia.

If you are worried about your kids future then why support the anti renewables candidate?

Which renewables solve the “issue” in your opinion?
I haven’t seen a decent solution put forward, nuclear too expensive they say, wind and solar pretty poor options, don’t know much about hydro

We have a lot of sun, a lot of wind and a lot of waves (tidal)

But great deflection champ :thumbsu:.

Internally in the USA 95% of things won't change, Corporations and Billionaires will run rampant, wages will remain low, illegal immigrants will still be let in (they are good for profits and make shares go up), Military industrial complex will still rule the USA.

If trade with china and the USA becomes hard, this nation needs to think of ramifications for us, and Climate is also a big issue.

We live in a hot and dry place, I sure as shit dont want this nation to become hotter and dryer.

Was a legitimate question, but thank you for the well balanced response, Muscles

Mate seriously China and India and developing nations, wake the xxxx up. If it was the issue of our age would they get to sit it out ?. Then of course there’s the small matter of our impact and why anyone would destroy our economy for no reason.

kek it was not buddy.

Renewables will solve one part of cost of living.

Not to mention it would mean diversifying our economy (which is badly needed)

So which route is the answer in your opinion, Duplo?

I don't know if he intended to, but Trump unearthed a political superstar in Vance

The guy will face anyone with a calm smile and absolutely dismantle them, honest or not

Even effortlessly getting around the whole comparing Trump to a Nazi regime, is quite astonishing 🤣

Meanwhile, Tampon Tim absolutely crumbled facing the music

And what is your plan re: disposing/recycling the turbines and panels once their short lifespan has reached the end?
This is where we invest in innovation to recycle them.

Since you asked a disingenuous question you best get one back

What is your plan for all the climate immigrants?
What is the plan to save the world if it becomes hotter?
What is the plan to save insects?

Was not disingenuous actually, may have caught you at an emotional moment.

I still haven’t heard any compelling cases. Investing and crossing our fingers we can magically make 200m turbines disappear isn’t a plan to me. Maybe we cut windows out and place climate immigrants inside?

Save the world? I’d never be so arrogant to suggest we can make the slightest difference. Air quality would be more my focus.

Re: insects I’d stop governments burning bees under the guise of disease control, and I certainly wouldn’t be eating the crickets.
