I think we will be better this year then last year. Got a year into Tomkins, Stanislas, Collison and a full year into Noble. Savio should improve. Getting Behrami and Ashton back. Fanni should be a upgrade on Neill. Will all depend how many goals we get from Cole Ashton Jiminez + New striker (hopefully Balotelli). Cole should be good for 10. Ashton will depend on how many mins he gets. No idea what to expect from Jiminez goal wise but expect him to provide much needed creativity atleast. Good depth and a very strong bench IMO.

Im gonna be a bit more optimistic and say 6-10. Think we can overtake Everton and push Villa next year. Man City will surely get 5th

you'd think Man City are pretty good odds for 5th.

6th is fairly open but Villa and Everton both have fairly good head starts on your team as things stand.

Villa and Everton IMO are at major risk of being reamed by big money spenders like City. I reckon Lescott to City is a good bet atm and thatd be a big loss for Everton not to mention already losing Jo. Villa lost Laursen and Barry already and wouldnt surprise me if Ashley Young becomes a target for either Real Madrid or Man United.

Way I see it is both Everton and Villa squads have been weakened alot since the end of the season. Our squad, well we lost Neill and Di Michele but hardly worth crying over.

ohhhhh f*ck

interesting, if true, how many people reckon ancelotti will attempt a pyramid formation with chelsea like he did with AC Milan? Or keep their 4-5-1?

can't afford to play 1 striker with 2 world class strikers + aguero
Pretty random of Laporta to not offer Yaya a better deal he obviously deserves, even though his agent's probably not telling the complete truth either.
i agree ... he's not of the same class as essien or mascherano but i prefer him to just about any other DM out there.

Put your shirt back on Aguero - you're not Didier.

I can't see how our squad has been "weakened alot" already. Jo is the only decent player that has left and Yakubu will effectively replace him and he's alot better anyway. Jagielka is a big loss, but the defence is our strongest area and we can cover him well enough, without being weakened a great deal.

i was wondering about this today. If Chelsea sign any of Eto'o, Aguero or Villa would Anelka stick around? it wasnt until Hiddink put him back in alongside Didier that Chelsea began to settle.

:D:D:D

I will run down the street screaming with joy if this happens.. I heart Ibra:)

+1.

I heart Ibracadabra as well.

His presence will add two things we didn't have in the team:

1. An aerial threat for Danis crosses
2. A shoot-from-outside-the-area threat. Our players rarely do this, and he has proven to be very good at this

He is great on the ball, has a great passing range for a forward, and can hold up the ball and make runs at opponents.

To be honest, the only forward i would prefer over him is David Villa, but Ibra is a very close second.. SO COME ON DOWN BABY!

NOTE: Italian betting agencies have stopped taking bets on Ibra to Barca.

Also, there is news that we are interested in a Yaya -> Maxwell trade. Frankly, i would be against that.

While Maxwell is good, he is not THAT big a step up from Abidal. With Zhirkov coming out and saying he would prefer Barca over AC and Chel$ki, i would love to move in on him and keep YAYAYAYAYAYA who is under-rated IMO.

Other way around. It wasn't until Hiddink put Drogba in alongside Anelka that Chelsea began to settle. Drogba wants to talk with Ancelotti so he would be the most likely to go of the two. I think Anelka is finally happy enough at a club. Drogba's the better striker of the two but he's a wank. Chelsea are reported to have offered him a new contract though, I think. Kalou will probably go as well.
