Why the hostility? Clearly you are letting your emotions get the better of you which means you arent looking at this objectively and your heart is too involved. I can appreciate you may be anti-Essendon, but dont let that cloud your perspective on this. Take a breath, step down from your soap-box, and give this some perspective.

Think about the fact the club had to have the players parents come down to the club to explain the situation. Go watch some videos on the players such as McVeigh and Watson speak about it and hear and see their natural reactions regarding the situation. They aren't being cagey. They are being honest and forthright in saying we didnt know we were doing anything wrong, we didnt know what this stuff was, we were told it was all above board so we did it and we are deeply concerned with what may have been put into us. Why would you have any inclination whatsoever that they would inject you with something that was remotely illegal? You would never expect they would do that, because you trust them and you trust that they would never do that because of the repercussions. My club has honour, my club is legit, they do things by the book.

You had me until you mentioned McVeigh. Go back and watch the interview he did when the story first broke, claiming that he new everything that had gone into his body and it was only Vitamins. The story has changed after his interview with ASADA. To many stories have changes over the course of the investigation for me to trust any of them.

This is actually the 9th Rumour File thread on this board. Each of the others were capped at around 1000 posts or 41 pages due to bandwidth issues with the previous software. So we are looking at about 670 pages or 16700 posts.

And I'd say the % is quite low.

How many of them had a basis in reality or were later reported in the media? (Yes, the latter demonstrates how often the media runs to BF for a source on slow news days).

Rumour on the Weagles board that Yarran's Manager (Paul Connors) is set to meet with the Eagles this week ..... then again, I suppose he could be there to discuss other players in his stable?

I had to laugh at some of the Weagles supporters trade suggestions:

I like it - but I don't think WCE would go for that.

They need more midfield strength ASAP and would be robbing themselves of that for a flanker/forward.

I'd only be interested in a handful of W/C players. Josh Kennedy, Luke Shuey, Andrew Gaff and Shannon Hurn. Doubt they would want to let go of any of these guys.

I would imagine that trade would look like

Yarran + 1 rounder for Kennedy. I would do that in a heartbeat.

Brown is a decidedly average player. If he wasn't Victorian would he appear in any tradecalculations?

A contested ball specialist that can hit the scoreboared and has pretty good kicking skills. Something that we absolutely need.

Shuey is a far better option then Gaff

Gaff was about to be dropped a couple weeks back because he had something like 2 tackles in 3 weeks, no thanks.

Hurn would be a great get but he would be untouchable and everyone can forget about Kennedy as he would probably tell us to GAGF himself.

At the same time....it could mean that he would come much cheaper than Shuey, who is probably on their untouchable list, and poor form can be due to external factors....such as homesickness.

And guess who he used to support as a kid............the Demons.........so theres no chance he'll wanna play for them.
