If I had to take a backman I would want Schofield. Really don't want Yarran to leave the Blues. Yes he might be a bit of a prima donna at times but every club has one.

Gaff will be a quality player, much better than Brown and covers more of a need for us.

Shuey is a far better option then Gaff

Gaff was about to be dropped a couple weeks back because he had something like 2 tackles in 3 weeks, no thanks.

Hurn would be a great get but he would be untouchable and everyone can forget about Kennedy as he would probably tell us to GAGF himself.

Shuey would be a huge addition if we could get him, but I can't see West Coast letting him go cheaply.

You would think that realistically Yarran would be our only big name on the trade table - FOR THE RIGHT DEAL ONLY. Shipping him off to WCE for Brown and a second round pick would be nowhere near close enough.

Could be more to this however. Yaz back to WA seems logical if all parties were interested. Heard a rumour a while back about a 3 way deal between Carlton, WCE and GWS which would see us send Yarran to WCE and somehow get us Pick 1 in return. Dont recall all the details....didnt take much notice TBH.

My thoughts exactly. There is all this talk about how the 3 small forwards can't all play together. Why can't at least two of them build their tanks to a sufficient level to play in the midfield.

Gary Ablett, Stevie J, Mark LeCras and others have done it so why can't Yazz and Jeffy.

Both are match winners and I just feel it would be strengthening one of our rivals while weakening us if we got rid of one of these guys.

3 players + our first rounder = 4 players and if you count either Hapmson/Warnock as 1, then yes it is 3.
