Great race. Well done Russell with an unbelievable strategy call that gave him the win.

Or if he didnt lose 2 seconds on the 2nd stopPiastri probably would have won on a 1 stop
His Tyre management seemed fine with a fastest lap after 24 laps on the tyres.Well done bug-eyes. No way does that strategy work without the DRS changes.
Dunno why Oscar didn't consider it but I guess his tyre management is still a work in progress.
Difference is Russell didn't have much to lose by trying it, worst he'd drop 2 spots to the end of the leading pack.Geez a bold call for McLaren could have won this for Oscar.
Yeh it's only hindsight, was a big gamble. McLaren definitely are not risk takers.
The shortened DRS zone caused those DRS trainsthink the dirty air there really made it difficult to overtake with similar pace cars. even charles max and lando were still line astern at the end too.
For every one of these, he has 3-4 races where hes the first to put the slicks on in the wet and sails into walls, etc..No one thinks more about strategy than George, so hats off for him for it to pay off for him.
Would have had 2 or 3 laps to pass both Hamilton and Russell, not quite the same as a guaranteed win.Take those 2sec's off of Oscar from going long in the box and he wins
I think second might have been achievable. Passing two cars would have been very difficult. If Piastri doesn’t overshot the pit box he’s on the mercs a couple of laps earlier, which may have been enough
+ There is no way Merc don't give team orders if p1 was at risk, Hamilton would have been up the roadI think second might have been achievable. Passing two cars would have been very difficult.
