Another great race. George has to be driver of the day. Lewis would definitely be starting to worry about his move now. Oscar did well unfortunately cost himself the win with that pitstop.

Well done bug-eyes. No way does that strategy work without the DRS changes.
Dunno why Oscar didn't consider it but I guess his tyre management is still a work in progress.
His Tyre management seemed fine with a fastest lap after 24 laps on the tyres.
Just no one considered it other than George

Geez a bold call for McLaren could have won this for Oscar.
Difference is Russell didn't have much to lose by trying it, worst he'd drop 2 spots to the end of the leading pack.

Whereas Oscar was already looking at a podium with a standard 2 stop, and had the tires gone off, would have blown that up

Yeh it's only hindsight, was a big gamble. McLaren definitely are not risk takers.

Given the feedback he gave about being in clear air maybe they should have. Oh well at least he still got past Charles.

No one thinks more about strategy than George, so hats off for him for it to pay off for him.
For every one of these, he has 3-4 races where hes the first to put the slicks on in the wet and sails into walls, etc..

He gambles more than most, but when you're chasing victories specifically, and you're not one of the top two or three, then it's probably not a bad strategy

If Piastri doesn’t overshot the pit box he’s on the mercs a couple of laps earlier, which may have been enough
I think second might have been achievable. Passing two cars would have been very difficult.
