Re: worst Geelong player on the night

mackie was ok
but i completely agree blake is the biggest **** ive ever seen. i wish i was blessed with his height

Re: worst Geelong player on the night

I thought Blake was pretty ok, got his hands to the ball around the contest a bit... still trying to figure out how he got that much space on his opponent when he took that mark leading out of centre half forward..

Re: worst Geelong player on the night

Blake was noway near the worst. Every time he got the footy he did something with it. Was strong in the ruck.

Think you need to look elsewhere. Some players probably had the worst game of their careers tonight.

Yeah, Selwood did.

But to say Blake was 'nowhere near worst' is simply playing devil's advocate. He, along with a host of others, was pathetic.

Re: worst Geelong player on the night

I didn't think Blake was bad. Ottens did a few nice things but not many. Let's not get on a witch hunt but in my view Hunt, Milburn, Corey, Wojo were all very ordinary especially in the first half. I would not be scared if Taylor Hunt or Menzel came into the side. They are not obvious swaps of course but some guys in the team just need to lift or step aside.

Just a ridiculous comment from a typical cats supporter that is out to get him. Blake was far from the worst geelong player out on that ground tonight

Re: worst Geelong player on the night

Yeah, Blake wasn't brilliant, but was not responsible for StK goal atrocities (say like Mackie, Joel Corey, Josh Hunt).

Not saying these three were the worst, because they did do some good things.

If you judge the 'worst' by how far below their best they played, then you'd have to consider Joel and Gary among them (along with Scarlo and Harry)! On that criteria, Blake was nowhere the worst!

Re: worst Geelong player on the night

There was something very wrong with Selwood tonight.

The GC have just dropped their offer down to 1.2m for Gaza on the back of tonight's perfomance.

J Hunt played poorly. Varcoe was flashy at best.

Blake just does not do enough around the ground and tonight it was the same. He never does.

Can I say that Jimmy was once again the big occasion guy.

blakes stats:
14 hitouts 5 handballs 1 mark

phwoarrr wat an impact
Do you want Blake to have 30 touches? Would that be good for the team? Particularly on a night like that?

Do you think players want to give him the ball, like they do other players?

What do you think his role is exactly?

Scarlett and Hunt were the worst in terms of importance in that first half. How Kosi was able to outmark Scarlett constantly blows my mind. His worst game for the year, in a time we needed him to stand up.

Umm, that argument shoots itself in the foot methinks. You are supporting a situation where a player is not trusted with the ball, and isn't expected to get it.

If his HO's were all that flash you might have a point. But that part of his play is obviously not having an impact. His role isn't paying dividends.

i have no idea wat his role is, to me he goes up in the ruck then just does sweet f*** all.

you see thats the problem "Do you think players want to give him the ball" if he cant kick or mark the ball why the hell is he playing, his a useless flipping giraffe

J Hunt

he's had a good year, but tonight was a shocker. Poor options kicking in, and got consistently beaten body on body by a smaller man. Milne's goals in the 2nd were the game breaker, and all came from outbodying a guy who must have at least 10kgs on him. Not good enough.
