Lawns are going out of fashion. In my area houses that are sold are being pulled down and replaced with mega mansions with no lawns. Younger people can’t be bothered mowing lawns, too busy. They would rather have a pool and entertaining area with maybe a small bit of Astroturf and shrubs in pots for variety.

There's an old guy in my neighbourhood that converted his front yard to astroturf about 2 decades ago, and it's a big yard

He's still out in the yard every week or two for maintenance, using the leaf blower or hose (or both) to keep it clean - it's crazy the amount of water he uses to wash it down and is definitely more than what others in the area use to water their real grass, and honestly I find often see people even watering their yards

I sometimes water my driveways get the little bits the broom can't get ...
Then the bloody neighbour complains that blows into our house bah bah .
Feel like getting the vac/blower and blowing all the crap into their yard .

Do you get angry if someone drives on it and leaves dusty tyre marks. Need to put up a "No cars on the driveway" sign

Not oil , just grime over the years before and after shots are quiet a big difference.

Sounds like grey croms noone on the lawn GreyCrow .

A couple years back the water board dug up just outside our place.
Didn't get any warning .
Then they layed new concrete.
Makes my concrete look bad ....

I just like to keep it tidy if I can that's all.

Our second drive way was gravel got sick of looking after it weeds etc.
So got concrete it ...wasn't that much ..

i believe geelong officially changed their name to "geelong cats". thats why they get their location and nickname on telecasts. but i can see your query as to why they got this.
