I did click and collect when I had COVID and had to isolate.

I ordered a pumpkin.

I applaud Woolworths for finding the only bonsai pumpkin vine in the southern hemisphere to have sourced it from. At first I thought they'd forgotten it but then I found it, hiding behind a cherry tomato.

I thought a Kent pumpkin was more your style ... .

I’ll rarely buy the marked down or anything nearing use by date unless I’m sure I’ll eat it that day.

Only time I stuffed up was bought hamburgers on Cup day that were on special and didn’t check the date. Luckily it was a best before and I survived….

Even with milk as I rarely use it, I simply won’t buy it if the don’t have the 2 week use by stuff available as I know they last at least that long. Same with bread, only buy it if it’s good for 4-5 days and always the mini loaves.

I reckon I would be happy if Uber Eats vanished. I think it's a blight on society - promotes laziness, overeating and clogs up the roads. It didn't even exist ten years ago, so it's not like we can't live without it.

Uber Eats is a scourge. Go and get your own chicken nuggets you lazy ****s.

It is a poor deal for restaurants and drivers.

My sister ordered on Uber Eats a couple of weeks ago because she is too lazy to drive 10 minutes up the road to get the food herself. Then she had the temerity to complain when the driver dropped off the wrong order and refused to come back. If you are going to use that service then you have no right to complain when your order is ****ed up.

The problem is that SO many people order Uber Eats that the 30% fees they slug restaurants with still kind of makes it worth it...I'd love to **** it off from work if I could but it's never gonna happen

I did a Menulog order cup week as the Bakery near work was shut and that’s the only option close enough to go to at lunch. So I ordered delivery from somewhere in town.

He handed me my order and it included a drink which I thought was strange as I didn’t order one, then thankfully I read the bag and ran outside and caught him before he left.

Can’t even remember what it was he gave me, but not even from the same place or something I could eat either!

As an ex pizza dude I feel sorry for modern delivery drivers, speed limits and roadside drug tests would have decimated where I worked because the drivers were fairly evenly split between rev heads and pot heads.

There's a few local places I'll occasionally order delivery from but they are ones where I can order directly from the restaurant & it's their delivery staff who are doing the delivery rounds

Uber eats drivers seem to think they the main people in the place.


Did notice a fat uber eats guy his guts was hanging out from he's tee shirt.
Didn't brother to zip up the cold/warm bag food was almost falling out .
Moved slower than the ex Sri Lanka cricket captain.

My phone has stopped receiving or making calls. It looks like it's related to Optus switching off switching support for
the 3G network. My phone is 4G enabled. I think they ****ed up.

Haha my sister in law ordered a coffee the other day.

The driver didn't knock so she didn't know it was there and it sat there for 20 minutes and it was cold.

She also complained. Was hard to be sympathetic lol.

The house over the road were getting uber.
The uber driver couldn't open up the front gate.
So they left the order on the footpath next the the gate..

I've become quite a fan of various British shows that we've tried to emulate but just don't work - one such show being Would I Lie To You, and the discussion of food delivery services reminded me of the following story from one episode

When Optus switched off support for 3G it seems the VoLTE thing became an issue. My phone is 4G enabled but can't switch to VoLTE. Like I said, I think they done ****ed up.

Not a big fast food guy but I went to HJs maybe a month or two ago and I was the only customer there. Just me and half a dozen food delivery drivers waiting with their big square bags. Bit depressing.
