Being in a house with 2 very one eyed liberal supporters who don't agree with a single policy but will back it regardless... Very awkward when you disagree while they discuss it at dinner or yell out at policies I agree with while watching the debate...

Elections and the crap they sprout
A nice change would be some straight down the line honesty rather than the one upmanship

There's an election on? o_O

Just joking... still slightly pissed it's on during footy finals. If weddings can't be on during footy, surely same principle applies to this.

Well Kev is a brissie man so it was never going to be a factor and tony doesn't even know how to hold it properly. To think the former prime minister had more of a clue about the holy game than these two combined

I would literally rather have Eddie McGuire as our PM than any one of the actual candidates.

The only people that are really effected by this are Geelong (and 5 Freo ) supporters I guess.
I say, any people in a Geelong jumper- go straight to the front of the queue. :D

Er- I hope we are still talking about an election there...

What difference does it make? If you vote in the morning most you really queue is 10 minutes.

Then if you want the results and you are out just get an update on the radio. As opposed to a wedding where things are the same yet in fact the opposite.

I'm gonna predict the Geelong polling booths will be verrrry quiet come the afternoon

Pinewood Subway.
Everytime i go there, without fail, i get:

"Was that with extra cheese? would you like extra meet? would you like to add bacon or avocado today? would you like pineapple (after you say salads)? Any drinks or cookies today?

I don't complain about much, but i said to the manager on the counter that their upselling is ridiculous. Every other store is drinks or cookies, but why ask if you want double cheese? meat? things so specific that annoys the hell outa everyone

Will be smashing that tomorrow. It's so much better it's not funny. Last time I did it there was exactly 0 line and the whole process couldn't have taken more than 5 mins.

I'm working at an election booth on Saturday (in it for the $430!), the more people that go to early booths the better in my book :p

Do you know what time? ISs it for all electorates?

At uni, starving, and there's a $1 sausage sizzle set up just outside the library. Unfortunately it appears to be run by people wearing Labor logos and shit. $1 sausage, or keep intact my rule about never giving money to any political cause? Will probs get three and hate myself forever :thumbsu:

Oh, and wtf is the go with pubs, etc. doing meatlovers pizzas with tomato sauce instead of bbq? If it's not bbq sauce then there's no point. Place I was at over the weekend flat-out refused to use bbq sauce

It's only $370 to work a polling both in Qld :(

It's the same here, but I included the ~$67 to go to a one hour training/information session.

Need training to hand out a couple pieces of paper and cross a name off a list?

I'm doing declaration voting (absent and provisional votes, quite a lot of steps involved), so I'm not sure how the regular voting training session went, but yeah, sounds about right :p

I was briefly a member of the Young Liberals (I know) when they were offering free beer if you signed up during O week back in the early 90s and you had stand in endless queues to enrol.
