We are so progressive we changed the name from Foundation Day because we didn't want the day to be all about European settlement. But didn't change the date, which still commemorates European settlement...

Recently single, getting back into the game and get a text out of the blue frm this girl I've been dying to spend more time with saying "you free tonight" so after reading it with one eye for a few minutes I texted back "yeah, just having a drink but nothing much" little did she know I'm on my 7th pint. She texts back saying "can i come round" and I was at the urinal at the time so finished my wee prematurely so i could text back but got a bit of dribble on my shoe - not to worry this BABE is coming over tonight. She says what time and I played it cool and said "ohh about 11?" She said okay. Super excited i continued being cool and said "just wanna chill?" To which she said "yeah nothing major I'm so tired and just want to cuddle"

So i am now 11 drinks in and have to wai another hour just for a cuddle. Fml

Ahhhh Picnic Day. It is the day where parents and adults go and get absolutely trashed at the Darwin Races, and leave their kids with older siblings/babysitters who drag them out to the botanical gardens on the other side of town to have a teddy bears picnic. I guess the only difference between Picnic Day and every other day is that they are dressed up. As an adult, you almost got shamed if you didn’t drink on Picnic Day

Mate just told me they can't have a BBQ and a few drinks at the MCG carpark like they have the last 20 years. Cops coming around and telling them to pack up and go home, unless they want to go to the designated wet area, to which you have to buy a ticket. Amazing if you pay money you can do it.
