Thank you! All the best to you as well. All the best. Our first is due in 7 days
Seriously, if I was in labour the last thing I’d be doing is checking my phone! My Aunty has called my mum every couple of days saying “I have a feeling today’s the day!” **** offffffJesus, talk about a thirst for news.
'Any news yet???'
'BRB just in the middle of an 8 hour labour'

'Yep had a baby girl, 7 lb 4 oz, named her Khaleesi-Jayde, she has my eyes. Just been chilling for a bit, browsing Bigfooty...'
I have a friend due this week. I presume she is either at home waddling around waiting to go to the hospital, or at the hospital having a baby. I'm sure when the kid falls out I'll hear about it.
Another boy! Thank you@MEB is it a boy or girl? Or have you not disclosed that/finding out?
Good luck with it all anyhow. How exciting.
What did Gillet win that upset everyone? He was probably one of the guys who sat in roundabouts disturbing people going about their business during the Gillet Jaune protests.
Yeah nah. Its never ok.
Imo
Just in case you're being genuine, that's what the yellow vests were called here. They're Gillets, not vests. Stupid bloody word anyway. There's another thing that shits me.What did Gillet win that upset everyone?
My work giving me grief about my application for long service leave next year. I've applied for four weeks at the start of term 2 so I can go to Europe. My work's reply, "Weeks 1 and 3-4 would be ok. But week 2 would place pressure on staffing."
Oh ok, I'll just fly back for that week then fly back to Europe again.
Fwits.
They will only spend the whole week...Tough shit get ETs in
Never really heard of someone been knocked back for annual or long service leave. I presume work can say no and you'd have to make alternate arrangements. My work giving me grief about my application for long service leave next year. I presume in this instance they would prefer you worked the holiday either side of that week they are short on staff.
Either way, tell them to get stuffed. at worst, week without pay.

The only time it is acceptable to put meat on top of chips is in a HSP.
OMG tghat always happens!I used to work with a bloke that had ridiculous amounts of leave and the company was always on his back to clear some. He puts in for a decent chunk of leave and gets knocked back. Not a good time for the business. Guess what he said next time HR tapped him on the shoulder about clearing some leave?
my gf has work (a school) grilling her about 1 wednesday off she asked for in mid december, looks like they wont approve it. such a load of bull shit, its one day and at that time of year she wont even be teaching they'll be doing end of year wrap up activities. would have been better off not asking and just calling in sick that morning but no we had to do the right thing. pricks. My work giving me grief about my application for long service leave next year.
