Jeezus what is your issue with older folk. Did your parents buy you a pair of thongs instead of a bike for Xmas
Yeah they are called grey nomads for a reason.
Ignoring the fact that caravanning is way more popular with older people than young, most people who work full time only really have 2-3 weeks off per year when you take out the Christmas break. Those with kids try to take holidays that coincide with school holidays for obvious reasons. Those without kids (like me) try to avoid school holidays because it tends to be busier and more expensive. I can drive to Dunsborough in 2-3 hours most days. First Friday of school holidays or Easter Thursday? Forget it. Plus why would I want to be somewhere full of kids at the expense of someone with kids who really wants to be there?
If "older folk" keep doing dumb selfish shit I'll keep observing it. I've explained to my own father multiple times that if you are going to go to a large and very busy shopping centre at lunch time on a Saturday then don't be surprised that it is chock a block and you can't park, it's full of loud children etc. But hey, Coles is only open 7 days and 80 hours a week. You wouldn't want to go there at 10am on a Tuesday or something when it's quiet and nice.
