Ok, so abit of analysis now that we're done with the club by club stuff.
Captaincy longevity during the 'modern era'

* Active Captains
" Turbo also captained the Furies between S29-S31 which fell outside of the review period for the club.
It's probably no surprise to see the longest serving skippers above have also arguably been the strongest, most capable and most likely to contribute strongly behind the scenes. Every skipper on that list was a result of a purposeful and planned succession from their predecessors, and were ultimately set up for success and have gone on to lead their clubs admirably over long tenures.
Non Co-Captaincy Clubs
* Old Boys have only had one captaincy 'era' to date.
Rank Non Co-Captain Clubs Captains Era 1 Roys 4 21 2 Demons 4 14 3 Gumbies 4 13 3 Warriors 4 13 4 Bears 4 10 5 Dragons 4 8 6 Old Boys* 1 4
Non co-captaincy clubs have clearly enjoyed greater longevity from their captaincy tenures as evidenced above, however the Dragons are probably the outlier here with their rapid fire turnover of leaders in recent seasons on par with some of the co-captaincy clubs.
Have added the Old Boys to highlight they are tracking ahead of the co-captaincy curve based on Turbo's initial tenure.
Co-Captaincy Era (aka F*R*I*E*N*D*S)

The modern era has been punctuated by a swathe of co-captaincies across almost half of all clubs in the Sweet FA. Swamprats appear to be the outlier here, with philreich often shouldering the load solo in between co-captaincy stints. While the Furies and Royals have managed to burn through at least one of their captains per season on average across their last four captaincy eras.
On average, co-captaincy clubs have managed a full 3 seasons less across their last four captaincy 'eras' (8.3 seasons v 11.3 for solo captaincy clubs), despite taking a look at more alternatives via exposing more candidates to the roles.
The Co-Captain's Co-Captains
Rank Co-Captain # of Co-Captains Seasons 1 4 4 2 3 4 3 3 8 4 2 5 5 2 3 6 1 3 6 1 3
Of all players to Co-Captain their clubs during the 'modern era', damicky has relied upon the most dance partners during his tenures with no fewer than 4 co-captains across his captaincy at two clubs, closely followed by BLUEALLTHRU with 3 during his time leading Baghdad and philreich with 3 over his long tenure (however phil captained more seasons without than with a co-captain).
This is a great thread, Factory. Research must have been a pain.
Good read!
It helps when your alt is serial_thrilla
All he really needs to do is buy Bob a beer, sheesh....Next Skipper? @FootyGuy13 once he finally prises the captaincy out of Bob's cold, lifeless hands.
