Actually, Treloar did consider Richmond. He hints at it in the video we made. He said "it came down to 2 teams".

Naive ot think that other team wasn't Richmond.

Actually the other team was Carlton, Treloar was a massive Blues fan as a kid and the space in their cap at the moment and the likelihood of him becoming a captain there had him thinking.

Our youth coming through last year got him over the line, our age profile and talent got him over the line, and he admires Pendles.

Tigers were never a serious option for him, just a mock club his manager used to boost his contract.

Though Carlton's Push was a Really Late one?

It's through the last two trade period that I have changed from thinking of Brisbane as an AFL after thought, to them being my most hated club (but still an after thought). The way the club and their fans think they are entitled to every player in the AFL because a few kids left them is ridiculous. How about focusing on your s**t culture before whining to the AFL. Their captains a deadset flog and their coach believes players like 'aisho', 'reddo' and 'crispo' all want to play for him. Not much to worry about though he'll be sacked soon

A lot of tiges supporters saying theyre happy they didnt get treloar ... too expensive, wont fit in with cotch, deledio, martin etc. So delusional and bitter, but so awesome to read as a pies man.

They're right. He won't fit in. He's a gun, future AFL hall of famer. Richmond is the place where you go to never really achieve anything. As the young man said, he wants premierships.

Could have been GWS..meaning staying.

I thought he rejected them at his first offer and then started looking. FWIW, still think Richmond.
I so hope it is Richmond and he comes out in public with it. Bunch of delusional clowns. Inching forward towards a premiership so slowly that by the time they are close, their key players are retiring and they slip out of contention again.

I would have loved to have Treloar at Tigerland. Unfortunately for us he chose Collingwood. Well done. You (especially your recruitment team) deserve it honestly. But hopefully you can see that some tiger fans are trying to look at the positives about not getting Treloar (like keeping our 1st round picks). Anyway, good luck for season 2016.

Thank you. I try to spread as much love and positivity as I can.
As for wolverines - I don't know about that. The Collingwood people who posted on the Richmond board seemed friendly so I thought I'd see how the Collingwood board was going.
All the best from your new friend TigerBelle.
P.S come over to the Richmond board any time.

Dont think Kangaroos fans would give a shit considering they walked out of the 3 way as the winner
Anyone who walks out of a 3 way is a winner. You're even more of a winner if the other two a chicks!

Thank god we got all three. I was just about ready to ram my head through a window after seeing so many stupid supporters insisting Brisbane to "just trade James Aish to North, their trade offer is better." So much wasted time trying to explain that unless Aish consents, it won't happen. But no, they insist, so apparently that makes it a viable option.

When it started I was chuckling internally at how ignorant Lions "supporters" are, but as time progressed it did become a bit frustrating, especially when only 12 months ago they where the benefactors from the same scenario with the Beams schamozzle.

I am close friends with Adam. We spent some time together in juvy after a prank with a bottle went a little haywire. Oh the laughs. Anyway, he confided to me that it really did come down to two teams. Collingwood and, if not Collingwood, Collingwood VFL until he could get to Collingwood. Bless.

What a load of SHT... We all know the Lions were just positioning themselves to get the best outcome. You paid overs for Aish so I guess it works out well in the end. Your mob paid equivalent of pick 10 for Aish...
Welcome SizeMatters.

Will you miss Crispy or Aisho more?

Crisp, I wish him well and have no bad feelings about the way he left. He nominated himself to be closer to his family and I wish him all the best but would still take Beams ahead of him every day of the week and twice on Grand Final day. Aish on the other hand was a complete flog who waited until a few days out of trade period to nominate a club of choice...

Slightly off topic, but what ever happened to Karnezis? I rated him extremely highly but it seemed as though he didn't have the drive to succeed... what a waste of talent.

Think the trade is equitable for all parties. North move up the draft, Pies get Aish and Brisbane gets a player and draft points for the academy crop. Don't get me wrong would've loved to keep Aish to show that we're heading in the right way with retention but happy with the resolution nonetheless.

In terms of the backflip talk, you guys could at least acknowledge the Beams deadline if you're going to have a crack at Brisbane. The statements thrown around in trade week are purely posturing and negotiation tactics. Eg Tom Boyd, Des Headland, Beams & Aish.

Good luck for next year and all the best to Aish and Crisp.

Exactly right! I've said from the start that I'm a huge James Aish fan, I'm absolutely stoked that we got him but in the lead up I spent a lot of time on social scrounging around for any little comment I could find to confirm that he was on his way. The amount of ridiculous comments from people was just astounding. At first I would bite back, but then after growing supremely confident that he was coming our way, I sat back and enjoyed the ride. I definitely got the last laugh lol.

Spent most of his first year out with OP. Played around 5 games in his second year. Seemed to be a great player for our VFL, but couldn't quite translate it to AFL.

Grew up a mad pies supporter, this year he played in a Collingwood team that thumped Carlton on the MCG. That was a big bucket list item for him crossed off right there.

Decided to retire from AFL and do other things in his life. Moved to one of the amateur leagues (plays for Preston?)
