I don't buy eggs as such, I more meant that I eat food containing eggs.

Free range chickens are fed a multitude of drugs due to health and safety requirements. I was advised by an owners daughter that you’re probably better off eating caged eggs.
Seen a docu on it once, in a modern state of the art computerised cage farm the birds actually looked in far better condition that the shitty version of the 'free' range. The drugs are probably because they are mixed in they have now had a lot of diseases return causing problems. There are actually proper free farms that serviced people wanting the best like high end restaurants.
Best thing people that like eggs and wanting to help their welfare and have some space is to get your own chooks, make great pets that are easy to look after to collect eggs. Even their manure in compost is excellent for the garden.

Shameful is wanting to kill an industry. You don’t chop off the head in spite. You deal with the problem and stop them from transporting live animals if they won’t do it humanely, which they did!

How many times does it have to happen before you realise you can't deal with the problem. The problem is live export full stop.
As J Hewson said on Sky today although the gov has reduced stocking % the real thing that needs to be done even as an interim measure is stopping it completely during the middle east summer.

Can you please clarify the highlighted?
If you reduce loads, thereby giving the sheep more room to move around and stretch then in rough weather, they will just be breaking legs.
I would have thought they need to be packed in to stop this from occurring.
Just ban it outright.

Irrespective of space allocation, thermoregulatory physiology indicates that sheep on live export voyages to the Middle East during May to October will remain susceptible to heat stress and die due to the expected extreme climatic conditions. Accordingly, voyages carrying live sheep to the Middle East during May to October cannot be recommended.
Although we’re pleased that our recommendation around minimum increased space allocation based on allometric principles will be adopted immediately, we remain concerned these measures alone will not guarantee the welfare of sheep being exported to the Middle East.
