the margin is irrelevant, the Weagles were soundly beaten, and Freo will make the top 4.Kerr=God said:Im prepared for the inevitable cries of 'excuses excuses' but lets get today in perspective.
1. West Coast was ALWAYS going to be physically flat after going to the Gabba last week. Thats not an excuse, but a reality which will be confirmed by anyone with an understanding of modern footy and the effect of heat on endurance type athletes.
2. Going out as hard as they did in the 1st quarter after last week is the reason the Eagles fell away the way they did and the scoreline was as large as it was. They went out to break Freo early because they knew they wouldnt have the legs for a shoot out. To Freo's luck West Coast didnt capatalize on there chances when they were there.
3. When the game was at its fierciest, Freo appeared to be unable to handle the pressure. There skills dropped, and the Dockers appeared lost. Check the tape anyone who disagrees. Its easy to smash teams after there physically spent. You wont play an Eagles side that drops off like that if we meet again in 2006; know that.
Well done Freo and its fantastic for WA footy to see you guys finally succesful, but it would be a serious mistake for Dockers people to think there team is a ten goal better side than WC.

Not that i'm trying to buy into the argument as whilst it may have been a minor reason for the Eagles getting run of there feet.
But i think the poster was alluding to the fact that last week it was 27 degrees in Brisbane, a temperature unheard of down in Tassie one would think so your above example is really only a bit of cheap points scoring

**** that like SO hot!

**Adopt low, sulky tone ...**
"Yeah, did you see that Jeff Farmer today? When he got a goal, he looked at the Eagles supporters and mouthed the words, 'Gee Eff'. And then he used his hand to motion ... calling Eagles supporters ... Double-U's."
Radio man: " .... Ok, a big game today ..."
Priceless!

We can switch it on and off at will. We've proven it all season.

I don't think they are a better side I know that they are a better side than West Coast are I think the fact that Freo has beaten you guys twice this year indicates that they are a better side than West Coast.Kerr=God said:Im prepared for the inevitable cries of 'excuses excuses' but lets get today in perspective.

Kerr=God said:Its probably pointless trying to explain to you about the climatic variables and humidity of the region, but 27 degrees in Brisbane is more like a mid 30s day in Perth.
Dude do you love living in denial ok heres the facts okKerr=God said:Shame our respective ladder positions tend to suggest otherwise.
Where did you pull this 27 degrees from? It was a maximum of 23 on the day.Kerr=God said:Its probably pointless trying to explain to you about the climatic variables and humidity of the region, but 27 degrees in Brisbane is more like a mid 30s day in Perth.
