How long until the trade period? The dumbest thing in trade threads is the comparisons between players like there’s an objective measure. It’s market forces case by case. Our pick 13 which becomes about 16 is fair. Hawks will give a bit more via a swap to get it done early and eagles will take it. One of the first and easiest trades this year. Then you will need to wait 2 weeks to compare to Bailey smith when Mackie skilfully extracts pick 87 in addition from the dogs as the deal almost implodes in the final 5 minutes of the trade period.
Yeah it's a real shame Reid's only got 1 friend, will make it so hard to get him to re-sign....FMD there's some absolutely stupid stuff on here.I don't understand. Breust has been at Hawthorn for 16 seasons, should we not have extended his contract to 17 seasons?
You're saying 8 is too long?
Either way, we can always go after Harley Reid instead. Good mates with Watson.

What happened with Bowes by chance?Hopefully In the time period between now and October 4th people learn the difference between
CONTRACTED VS OUT OF CONTRACT
That is the only objective measure that matters.
Contracted players ALWAYS require more to pry away from clubs.
That has always been and always will be the case, any moron on BigFooty who says differently has rocks for brains.

West Coast are looking for draft capital, it's highly relevantSalary dump, Gold Coast traded a player out that didn’t want to leave because they ****ed their cap and overpaid a guy that was sitting in the VFL every week.
Not sure why this is even remotely applicable to Tom Barrass in any way, shape or form.
Couldn’t be further apart.
Cool Jack Graham getting offered 4 years from the eaglesIf they're offering 5 years they must be very into him.

So why would you bring up Bowes, which was the exact opposite?West Coast are looking for draft capital, it's highly relevant
Cool Jack Graham getting offered 4 years from the eagles
Looks like the eagles must be really into him
It's false logic to assume just because a player is under contract it automatically means you have to pay more, you keeping up?So why would you bring up Bowes, which was the exact opposite?

What the hell are you talking about? Bowes was a salary dump, where GC sent pick 7 to get Geelong to take him. It's false logic to assume just because a player is under contract it automatically means you have to pay more, you keeping up?
Ok. You realise you're posting in a player thread. Not a supporter thread. What you were saying showed a lack of understanding of how trading even works in regard to t he difference between contracted an uncontracted players getting traded.I didn't ask you did I, I was talking to the WB supporter..
Lol, just no.Barrass, pick 23 and F2 for Pick 13 and F1. Thoughts?

23 and our f2(likely about 23 again) would fetch a mid to late teens pick, which is roughly where we'd expect your f1 to land.Barrass, pick 23 and F2 for Pick 13 and F1. Thoughts?

If we are asking for 2 firsts then 1 certainly won't get it done.Hawks will trade fairly, pick 13 in a very even draft is a reasonable starting point.. West Coast may land a player they rate inside the top 10 at this selection.. throw in a 2nd rounder this year or next and I think that's a fair price for a 29yo A-grader.
This would be a good outcome for both parties, Hawks get a guy who rounds out that backline and West Coast get good draft capital to help push the rebuild along for a guy that likely won't be there when they're back in the window.
Fair enough. Think both clubs will be reasonable. Maybe throw in pick 30 or a fringe player also? At least you guys would get 2 1st rounders in that trade.23 and our f2(likely about 23 again) would fetch a mid to late teens pick, which is roughly where we'd expect your f1 to land.
That's basically just 13 for Barrass
