Geelong should challenge this bullsh.t decision. If Toby can be let off for eye gouging, then Tomahawk should have been a fine as simple as that . The AFL is just like the umpiring this finals series bullsh.t and favouritism GO CATS !!! Run by a bunch of f..king parasites

Srsly tho- he has to be like a real campaigner to the umps maybe off the ball/ a whinger idk.

Or did something in a past life to offend them greatly.

Could have something to do with that time he got a week for maliciously swiping away the umpire's hand in the game against GWS a few years back. Must've given that umpire a severe case of PTSD too, as I don't think he's umpired a Geelong game since.

Putting aside the theory “It’s Geelong”.

Then looking at Naitanui, who shoved Merrett’s head into the fence. How is Naitanui’s act less dangerous, to only receive a fine?

Is the one week because of Hawkins’ record?

His record doesn't come into it, otherwise Greene would've got a few weeks for eye gouging last week.

If that was the case, what about Toby Greenes record? Spitting, striking, headbutting, karate kicking heads and king hitting....oh and don't forget off the field too, where he assaulted a innocent man by dragging him down stairs, assaulted him with a weapon, and then attempted to choke him out. Then getting charged with intentionally causing injury, assault with a weapon, assault by kicking, threat to inflict serious injury and affray.

So Toms record couldn't possibly have anything to do with it.

So why?

AFL conspiracy? Collingwood -v- Richmond GF = more 💰💰💰

Greene is from a marquee club.

So if it’s not the Geelong factor, what is the reason?

Has to be the PTSD umpire 🤣🤣🤣

I’m trying to compare a more serious act.

No mention at the Tribunal of Greene eye gouging, so that’s not in this discussion.

However, Greene’s record is far worse than Hawkins’ record.

I really want to understand why Hawkins gets a fine, the others, including Cotchin, are free to play next week. Why?

Intent is how they'll challenge it, and honestly I kind of think Tom might have just been meaning to push past Schofield more than anything else.

I wonder if Rohan isn't up if we'd consider trying Abbott in a forward role. I honestly think he'd be a better choice than Fort, especially for sharing some ruck rotations so Sav can play purely KPF, but hard to see him coming in having not played this year.

Abbott is an interesting take and not sure I've seen it suggested elsewhere

So rather than replacing Hawkins from outside the 22, we replace him with Ratugolea and then have someone else step in to play the second forward & ruck relief

Hawkins is as guilty as hell.....stupid act thats cost him, and more importantly, the team.

Trying to find excuses for him is parochialism at its height. He's lucky he didnt get more.

How will they argue intent?

The ball wasn't in the vicinity, so what was he trying to do?

As others have noted the hit was blind from behind, could have been attempting to dislodge because trying to run into play.

It's not like he biffed him front on to the face/neck.

Maybe they have to argue the concept of off the ball, because retaliation won't do much.

Let the paid boffins come up with it all, the facts are the only way they'll soften their stance is if the intentional component
of the penalty is argued and won.

"He's lucky he didnt get more".....You obviously enjoy the soft era. Go and have a look at Balmes swinging arm on Southby...now that was intent to harm.

Coming from a mod you must have seen more than the channel 7 / AFL select vision.

I agree in some respects - why would he be so silly? There has to be more ????????????????????????????

I just look at one readily available view and am asked to come to the same conclusions you have made. If you have a more informed view (extra vision maybe) at your disposal please inform us.
