IMO it will be worth your while waiting for the Daniher thing to fall where it may.
9 + something for Paps + our 2nd rounder. If Daniher goes through.
Or a 3-way with Gold Coast to facilitate Martin and Paps to Carlton with pick exchanges.

A joe trade doesn't need to happen for Papley to get to Carlton. Swans want 9 and Papley wants to go to Carlton so what's the hold up?

I don't see how the Joe trade is holding up Papley getting to Carlton pick 9 should be just a straight swap with no hassles. Once that trade happens the Swans can then focus on getting Daniher over line and if it doesn't happen bad luck.

That they're holding up everyone else's deals by not completing the trade? We aren't going to trade Joe unless 5 + 9 come into the equation and Sydney currently don't have that pick 9 in their possession. Papley for 9 seems a fairy simple straight swap.

That's the point, it's not a straight swap. We have a couple of deals agreed on depending what happens and we're happy to wait on the Joe trade to go through before hitting go.

It's already been mentioned that pick 9 has been on the table, so your first sentence is pointless.

It's not a straight swap, we have a couple deals agreed upon with Sydney, now we wait on Essendon before we pull the trigger.

Thats Carlton and Sydneys problem if they cant get a deal done not Essendons. Essendon don't have to do nothing it's up to the Swans to come up with a trade that satisfies Essendon if not Joe stays
