I've been a fan from the moment I saw him in his first pre-season but Kenny only said last week, if I may paraphrase, that he is progressing well and he is hopeful that he has a good future but he's not ready yet for AFL. On that basis I don't think he's going to get an AFL game this year.

Would be good for his development to have more ball fed to him. Unfortunately supply is limited due to our underwhelming mid depth.
Why hasnt this kid been giving an extension yet? He's out of contract this year and surely he'd be one of the ones we recommit too given our lack of depth and his improvement this year?
What’s the latest on Scully? Surely he won’t be delisted?

I hope so too. With Dixon retiring and Soldo moving on, probably, we need Scully to be that key forward and 2nd ruck option. We have given big players plenty of time to develop in the past and Scully is as promising as any of them have been.

All remaining out of contract players will have to wait throughout the trade period and see what will happen.

Yeah I was told by my source today that, and that the whole family is basically prepared for the bad news, but then I heard CD basically say the same in his presser anyway, so its not exactly a surprise.

Super disappointed we havent extended him yet. 203cm KFs dont grow on trees and he’s not even 20 years old yet.
No doubt he’s a couple of years away from being AFL ready but thats to be expected. If he were even remotely close at his age he would gone much higher in the draft.
Definitely worth persisting with.

It's also not a 'good get'. Players must go back to their original club or a recruiting club has to pay a huge $20+k transfer fee. So he's just gone back to his original club.
Fingers crossed he is as motivated as ever and goes on to push his case for another crack at AFL in a couple years.
