Traded Tom Scully [traded to Hawthorn for a future fourth round pick]

Because a former pick 1 rated as elite and someone who was attracting offers of pick 4 and pick 7 goes for somewhere in the 60's next year. This is meant to be on the basis of a 'dodgy ankle' from reports, yet 4 years are being offered at 500K.

Does that not strike you as odd?
GWS 100% would not have been receiving offers of 4 or 7 for Scully. That would be an insane win for GWS.

... your attitude towards this trade, the competition and fairness of the game, is one that displays no integrity at all.

If you actually cared about the game as a whole, then you wouldn't be so blase about all this....

This from the club with the ‘Mission Accomplished’ coach, the President who seems more concerned about winning premierships in the 1870s than 2019, the administration who put out a joint press release with a political party during a Federal election, and the trade team that won’t let Tim Kelly be with his family.

Geez.

It's a salary dump.
Then why can't his salary be dumped to the Bulldogs or St Kilda, who GWS would get a much more favourable return from? Because either Cameron is scratching Clarkson's back, or GWS is hamstrung only being able to deal with Hawthorn yet wanting to dump Scully because of salary issues.

Either way, it's unethical.

Yeah, because someone with a f*cked ankle gets a 4 year deal... My god the corruption and collusion is ridiculous. I don't even care so much now that it's happened, more that you f*ckwits can't even admit that you're corrupt and that there is back-scratching going on.
If you actually believe that there is corruption going on then I truly feel sorry for you.

Probs coz Leon Cameron was an assistant at Hawks.

Luckily there are lots of head coaches with links to Hawthorn so deals like this should keep coming in for years to come.

I give 3 more. Ur list is aging with 8 thirty plus. U r finishing in no means land so this won't sustain. U will go down the feelings route.

Because he wants to play for the Hawks mate

If they need to push him out to free up cap space, isn't it fair they trade with a team that Tom wants to go to?

For the 3rd time, got proof they offered this?

Geez.
We will let him go to Fremantle, who offered us pick 11. He didn't want to go there. Try again.

Err corrupt? Miss USe of power? Rather salty. Geelong brought in many b grade f agents...

Or just maybe a player picked a destination that he wanted to go to and a deal that both clubs clearly find beneficial was worked out.
Shocking I know.
But do keep up you corruption conspiracy rants, they're very amusing

It just sounds like Hawthorn have more faith in Scully’s recovery than GWS.

haha the melts are funny.
I think end of the day hawks have some pretty good cap room, scully contracted and happy to go there.. done deal. GWS list management to blame here clear and simple.

While clubs like roos and blue baggers wanted him, he also wants to be around in September.

Amusing.
Yeah not quite. Hawthorn were the only club willing to take the risk and pay his salary. The only reason he's going for a 4th is because GWS can't give him away for free. The fact that zero other clubs wanted him shows you just how much faith people have in Scully returning to his 2016/17 form.

Well played Hawks.

Rolling the dice with high risk, high reward strategy. Managed their cap well enough to snare someone like this if they came up.

Did see that Durea left, is that a biggish loss or the incoming exceeds the outgoing?

Taylor leaving is a big loss but only for the Box Hill Hawks.

Can someone please explain to me how Hawthorn getting a 27 yo Scully with a broken ankle for a 4th rounder is any worse than Richmond getting a fit 25 yo Tom Lynch for nothing?
Ones a free agent
The other is a wtf.

Well done hawks. That's an awesome get
Something fishy at gws though. This makes no sense

Utter nonsense.

GWS have cap issues and Scully wanted to play for us. How do you know the Dogs and Saints were interested or willing to take the risk with his leg (a substantial risk btw).
