SF25, several people (myself included) were asking for his inclusion for many many weeks. As somebody else has already stated, Lyon didn't play him for god knows what reason. He was pulling BOG performances in the VFL, but continually overlooked, and replaced by players who's performances in the VFL didn't warrant a recall to the seniors.
The fact that you pot him and call him a dog after he leaves the club for:
* Better opportunity
* More pay
is a disgrace. What he has done is no different to thousands of workers out there who change job for more opportunity and a greater pay packet. It's also no different to other AFL players out there who move clubs for greater opportunity...

This thread started shows complete ignorance, the fact that TW was over looked afetr having about 10 BOG's in a row not to be given a crack in the seniors was purely a decision made by Ross and the way for which you are sooking is below par. This decision of TW can only be blamed on the legacy left by Ross and the selection panel, also whats being reported in the media about financial pressure, they could only offer TW what was market value for a player who had not proven him self in the seniors yet (although most of us know the quality which will come through from TW). Also other questions should be asked about a club CEO whos salary is apparently the highest in the AFL, whilest the club who he represents is recording low if any profits what so ever.
Isn't the point being missed here by SF25. Sydney gave picks 35 and 68 for Walsh. Probably a close to fair trade for a guy who hasn't played first grade. If Walsh had stayed at the saints and been paid what he deserves the the saints would have an even bigger problem right now with the salary cap and you would be complaining about who they were going to delist. I have a sneaky suspicion that the list managers would be quite happy with picks 35 and 68 and not having a bigger salary problem.
History shows that there have been some great pickups over the years in the 30's. instead of hating someone for doing what they want you should be starting a thread on what the saints need to use the picks on. Although by some of the posts so far I am not sure that the ability to put that much thinking in is entirely evident.

What a load of crap. Walsh was nowhere near BOG for 10 games for entire year, let alone 10 in a row. If he was BOG 10 weeks in row how come he didnt win the B&F or come anywhere near the winner? He finished 5th, polling less then half what the winner did, less then Mcqualter, Simpkin, Lynch who all played less games then him.
Walsh should have maybe played against Gold Coast & Adelaide but thats it. The hysteria around him by the Saints fans was plain ridiculous. He had 1 standout game in VFL and the rest were about average. If this bloke wasnt Irish he wouldnt get anywhere near the attention he did.

But im guessing its alright to have a "roast thread" about players that should be delisted. Players that actually want to play for the Saints. Sure thats alright to bag the absolute crap out of Zac & Raph in that one...... Fact is this bloke didnt want to play for us. At least all players left on our list do want to play for RW&B.

instead of just gobbing off.. fact is that there are a lot of saints that know a hell of a lot more about the guy than you currently do.. so i suggest you do some research, play him as a forward and watch him turn into being another steak and kidney GOP.
I wouldn't call listing the players that are due for delisting a hate thread. IMO Raph's been lucky to last this long and only has because he was a high pick, not bagging him, just being realistic. We can't afford to lose Zac though because as much as people love to bag him, he's our best one on one defender.

I hate Hate Threads but I felt the need on balance to start one because the Ross Lyon Hate Thread was unreasonable.
Ross Lyon did wonderful things at St Kilda. His message became lost somewhere amongst the madness.
