If any collingwood player is in the top ten it should be Beams. I don't give a **** if he had 2 shit grand finals, he is a gun. As far as under 21 non-KPP's go. 1. Martin, 2. Hannebery, 3. Beams/Scully, 4. Lou Richards

Surprised to see so many rating Martin and Jack as the best Under 21s at Richmond. I don't think there would be anyone at the club that would put those two before Cotchin in a list like this.

The kid, when he finally gets over the injuries and has a complete pre-season, is going to be our best player.

A bit of sour grapes hey donners, NicNat has given Ryder a bath twice, early this year and the end of last year, plus he absolutely dominated the preseason game against your backup ruckmen. I am not saying he is the best but he is clearly a better RUCKMAN than Ryder. His tap work is elite but it is the rest of a game that brings him back to the pack. Like most big men he will take a while to develop.
Big call that. A bath. 13 disposals, 17 hitouts, 3 marls and 1 goal. HUGE game. Against Ryders 12 disposals 16 hitouts, 2 marks and 2 goals. As I recall Naitanui was somewhat impressive in that particular game. On the other hand this year Ryder averaged more kicks, more disposals, more marks, more tackles, more hit outs and more goals. In most cases by a fair margin. Ryder needs to improve in some areas but Naitanui has far far further to go.

LOL at people still thinking Cotchin will be a superstar. Will be a good player no doubt but lacks the explosiveness to a superstar.

NicNat killed us in about 10-15 minutes, mostly against Hille.
Did nothing for the other 70 or 80 he was on the field.

Who gives a crap about his NAB form against Christian Bock? The kid was 6th or 7th back on our list, and we only had 4 rucks.

1.Hurley
2.Riewoldt

Michael Hurley
Best key postion prospect going around in the afl
just watch 2009 round 22 vs hawthorn
also coming from a hawthorn supporter shows his class

With so many posters inserting other names, goes to show how high the quality of 21 or unders there are at the moment.

Underdog - If you think Naitanui is superior to Ryder you are a moron.

Naitanui is a circus act.

Where did I say that?

I was comparing them at the same age.

At 20, Ryder wasn't rucking but averaged less disposals, goals, hitouts and tackles despite being more experienced.

Hamish "Hamstring failiure" Hartlett

Will be insane once he can play more than one game a month!!

Ok, updated, I didn't realise Gibbs was still only 21.

1. J Riewoldt
2. S Hill
3. C Rioli
4. B Gibbs
5. J Grimes
6. S Sidebottom
7. D Martin
8. D Hannebery
9. B Reid
10. T Pears

followed by, Kreuzer, Hurley, Scully, Beams, Rich, Rockliff, Naitanui, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Trengove, Walker.

Ben Reid not getting much love from anyone else, must be a bias thing but I thought holding down CHB in a premiership side in his first real season was a pretty good indication that he will be pretty good.

Also, don't know what others saw in Gary Rohan. Definite potential there, but athleticism alone does not make a player.

Some arguments seem pretty ridiculous, like because Yarran is fast and can kick far he will be better than Sidebottom. Well Lenny Hayes can't kick that far, can he? And he's certainly not lightning quick.

I think Yarran has enormous potential, but I'll wait until I see a little more consistency first.

Funny thread. Seems compulsory that you name 2 players from your own team. Funniest examples, in order, are:

  1. Dangerfield and Walker
  2. Bastinac and Ziebell
  3. Hurley and Pears
Only 3 teams have realistic claims to 2 players in the top 10 - Richmond, Melbourne and Carlton

Most optimistic call in the whole thread - Yarran will be a better footballer than Sidebottom.

Very tough call, huge amount of talent around, but I'll go with:

  1. Rioli
  2. Kreuzer
  3. Hurley
  4. Martin
  5. Hill
  6. Riewoldt
  7. Ward
  8. Grimes
  9. Scully
  10. Gibbs

Big fan of Hartlett.

So skilled and composed. Think he can be ranked up there will Hill and co in the 2008 draft if he stays fit. Big if though. Hope he gets a good run at it.
