12. Kruezer
13. Martin
14. Wood
15. Ebert

There is so much young talent at most clubs and some very good players have not even been mentioned.

Had a bit of time so I ended up glancing at each club's list, I ended up with 27 guys that I reckon will be really good footballers.

1. Tom Scully
2. Jack Riewoldt
3. Stephen Hill
4. Michael Hurley
5. Cyril Rioli
6. Matthew Kreuzer
7. Patrick Dangerfield
8. Nic Naitanui
9. Bryce Gibbs
10. Trent Cotchin

After that, I had; Martin, Watts, Sidebottom, Grimes, Trengove, Morabito, Hannebery, Pears, Shuey, Rich

And slightly after them, this time in no order; Davis, Reid, Myers, Fyfe, Ziebell, Ward, Grant.

Good list. Can probably add Rohan, Jetta, Hartlett, Yarran, Bastinac and Beams to the last list.

Stephen Hill

I'll be accused of bias, but anybody that has Hannebery ahead of Trengove has rocks in their head and clearly no vision. Then again, most are besotted by the moment on this site.

I like Hannebery as a footballer and he was a fantastic draft pick-up in the 30's, but he's overrated as a midfield talent on BF. He has very good endurance, he's tough and he's been very committed since juniors. Would love him at the Dees. He has pretty good skills, but nothing is outstanding; and just average pace. He doesn't have the silk, class, or hurt factor that sets apart the best midfielders. He will play 200 games, but won't be remembered in the absolute top echelon of mids in his general draft era.

apparently he is an absolute w***er as well (Hannebery) my cousin played footy with him, he is good, but apparently he knows it all too well

pretty irrelevant, but you know.... whatevz

Hannebery does lack a bit of hurt factor when i have seen him, seems to me to be a bit of an accumulator in the Swan mold...

but i've only seen 5 or 6 of his games, so others would probably be in a better position to judge his playing style

I honestly don't know who that is. Am I alone?

one of the best under 16 prospects in the country and future melbourne father son draft pick Jack Viney (2012)

also worth noting, future Swans F/S pick Tom Mitchell due to be picked up in 2011 i believe

;)

This the same cousin who told you Hannebery did a full preseason last year? Aside from that can people make up their mind as to wether he's an accumulator or doesn't get enough possessions, he gets criticised for being both.

good memory, and yes it is.

i actually asked him if he was sure about that after the thread and he said he was wrong but was sure he had done at least a couple of weeks :thumbsu:

he gets plenty of the ball for a 19 year old IMO

There is so much exciting young talent in the AFL the comp is in good hands.

1. Hill
2. Rioli
3. Martin
4. Scully
5. Kreuzer
6. Gibbs
7. Ziebell
8. Dangerfield
9. Riewoldt
10. Sidebottom

I can see them all, especially Hill taking apart the AFL over the next few years.
Could've also mentioned Watts, Naitanui, Trengove, Hurley, Cotchin....

Davis & Reid in backline, Hurley(or Back) & Grant in FWD, Kreuzer > NicNat, Rioli is a MID and mid would be Hill, Rioli, Scully, and then a ton of players after those 3 IMO.

lol wtf? No

Was waiting for that whilst hoping it would go unnoticed.

Yep, hasn't shown anywhere near as much as the others.

Just a feeling I've got, and if that feeling proves to be correct, I couldn't not have him on my list should I ever glance again at this thread, as extremely unlikely as that may be.

I'm a little confused as to why there are so many lists with Stephen Hill at number 1 or 2?... I think he is good but would not put him down as the best player under 21. Anyone care to explain why he is considered to be better than Riewoldt, Martin, Scully, Kruezer, Trengove etc by the vast majority on here?

You know he was voted best young player by the coaches, right?
