Top 10 players so far this year?

It seems to have made their structure a little bit better. They seem to be doing better with Richo on the wing than deep at FF - but he will be playing there anyway. Richardson has an enormous aerobic capacity and works his arse off, even if planted at FF you will see him on the wings plenty of times.

Off topic, but Thrawn isn't the quote in your sig an einstein quote?

How does it help Richmonds development though Thrawny ... One of the first things Clarkson did when he came to the club was get rid of anyone older than 25 bar Croad and Crawf. And with Crawf he removed him from any major role and gave him a free - roaming secondary game that will slowly be further decreased in responsibility ...

Wallet has no idea.

But I agree with you. Richo only has another year in him. We need others coming through, and they are starting to do this now thatRicho is playing as a roaming wingman/forward.

spot on Tugga ... :) can't believe some of the tools on here at times.

so why did you post what you did on the first page?

Moving richo out of the forward line is exactly how we are going to develop players for life after richo. There are 2 things we could do with richo atm, retire him or get him out of the fwd line and play him on the wing like we have the past month. Already this has shown to be of benefit to a couple of youngsteres up fwd. How is this a bad thing? and how does this show wallace has nfi?

perhaps your just bitter that all the BS anti-wallace propaganda you spent the last 2 years writing is a complete waste of time bc he's starting to put together a side

you talkin' to me? Is that what you're doin'

:D

I had that exact train of thought in my post back to Tugga so I'm glad you've cared enough to notice it. Obviously logic says that by removing Richo from the forwardline is a what I am talking about, but Richo is playing almost a midfield role now and dominating all over the ground.

I am not bitter towards Wallet, I just think he is a terrible coach. Prove me wrong...

Who is your spine?

AFTER 4 YEARS OF REBUILD

8 .. Daniel Cross
9 .. Gary Ablett

so many others but they are the stand outs so far in my opinion

Its terrible that the bitterness has consumed many of these Richmond supporters lives. :) :thumbsu:

Not only is Franklin leading the Coleman and coaches award, he's also 3rd in the Herald Sun player of the year award, Not quite sure about the Age award.

Out of his 7 games this year, only 1 of his games was average only due to his poor kicking at goal.

Thats incredible consistency coming from a key forward :thumbsu:
I missed Footy Classifieds last week, but he was also leading the coaches award by 7 votes prior to that.:thumbsu:
So are you telling me right now and that goes for everyone else, that Cox is playing influencing "RUCKMAN" football. People are picking him on the player he has been in the past, not how good he is right now. I would have him as the most influential player in the game when firing, but right now no way in the world is he in the top ten. Troy Simmonds is playing far better football than him at this moment of the season.

Simmonds was better than Cox last week, that's it.

Cox, even hampered by injury, has had a far superior season to Simmonds.

Joel ____ing Corey!!!!!!!

Doesn't get anywhere near the recognition he deserves.. Has been Geelong's best and most consistent and also one of the best players in the comp so far. Based on my analysis I would have Richo, Cooney and Buddy all ahead of him though.

1. Franklin

3. Richardson
4. Ablett
5. Pavlich
6. Fevola
7. Mitchell
8. Bradshaw
9. Sewell
10. Corey

Franklin has been the best so far this year. May sound biased but pav has been good too.

Wondering how people view Judd. I know his play wouldn't place him in the top ten but Carlton players have grown an extra leg with him in the side, how do you measure that?

My Top Ten would be:

1. Franklin
2. Shaw
3. McLeod
4. Cooney
5. Corey
6. Cox
7. Fevola
8. Richardson
9. Goodwin
10. Stanton - people will flame me for this i know:rolleyes:

Stanton would not be in Essendons top 10, so yes you are a funny guy...

Try mentioning someone from them who has done something, and then you might snag a few with it ... ;)
