MELTDOWN!!!!

Money can be very persuasive. More often than not that is the thing that gets the player over. It can make players change their minds. Clubs would be foolish not to table an offer to players to see if they can get them over the line.

We're going back and forth here so I think we'll leave this as it is. I appreciate your view on the matter.

“Allen Christensen has expressed a desire to continue his career elsewhere due to non-football reasons. The club is considering its position in relation to Allen's request.”

As I yours. Ethically clubs don't generally table offers to contracted players though. Frowned upon by most in sports management and everyone involved in list management though.

He is under contract. Make him honour the damn thing. You sign a contract for X number of years, you are freely committing to a club for that period of time.

I am sick and tired of players from all clubs committing and then saying "oh I've changed my mind". You sign, you suck it up and play the contract out.

It is a long way to go, but we are getting towards an NRL scenario. We will have players during the middle of a season saying they have signed with someone for the next season already.

You want the Queensland "lifestyle" Bundy? Well enjoy it when your contract expires.

Rant over
