I think you'll find that the reason Essendon are chasing Dunkley is because they know Merrett is coming to us. We don't have a hope in hell of getting Dunkley because we can't afford what he's been offered
Funny, I thought they were chasing Dunkley because all their genuine inside mids were trash.

Legit better than ours though hahahahahahahah
What Essendon inside midfielder is better than Taylor Adams?

Never said any were better? Overall though they’d bat deeper than ours if they acquired both him and Caldwell.

interesting the 5 players that brisbane delisted...

Sam Skinner, Matthew Eagles, Toby Wooller, Jacob Allison and Corey Lyons

skinner played one game in 2017 and 2 games this year.
eagles played 4 games in 2018 and 2 this year
wooller picked in 2017 never played a game
allison played 5 games in 2017, 3 in 2018 and 2 in 2019
lyons picked in 2019 and never played a game.....

so we should be able to pick the eyes out of that...

Don't be so sure ;)

Cmon mate ... we don’t have the draft capital required to do all the things we need to get right this offseason.
Zerrett is long down the list of needs I would’ve thought and given the price tag that accompanies him I think it’s a bit ridiculous to assume it’s any more than asking the question.

I think I see now. If they acquired one of the better inside mids in the competition their inside midfield stocks would be better than ours, assuming we make no changes and have no development in that position.

Matt Rendell I know but he just said that Dogs have an interest in Cox about giving English a chop out in the ruck as well playing fwd.

Could be why we’ve been linked to Dale/Scache. 2021 first + Cox for Dogs 2020 first + Schache & Dale??

Dogs seriously overpaying there. Our 2020 1st is worth more than your future for a start, and you're then valuing Schache and Dale collectively as less than Cox

I’ll take Skinner for sure .... wouldn’t cost much and being shown the door bc they’re getting Daniher.

I’d hate to see Adz in an Essendon jumper but out of all the clubs they probably have the money available to pay him properly (so that we don’t have to) and some really good picks to satisfy us.

In saying that Dons need a rebuild and should really hit the draft at the pointy end with all their picks but wouldn’t surprise me if they traded some of them away for established talent as to not bottom out.

Matt Rendell has basically just been flinging whatever comes to his mind out there, even if it's not realistic. Pretty sure one of his ideas was for us to ship off Grundy, Treloar and De Goey all in this one summer

Lmao I know you’re taking the piss but I am worried the only change we are going to make is to remove our best midfielder bar Adams and draft Reef whilst making no additions to our inside extraction mix which is gonna hurt.
I am struggling to see good development at that position as of now ...

I don’t mind getting rid of Cox. But for Schache?? I might spew. Cox has more of a presence on the field than Schache and when he is on he can turn games around. Schache doesn’t do that he is soft and is 10cm shorter than Cox. Cox straightens us up so I would not trade him away for somebody that cannot do that. I am not against Schache but this deal is a complete downgrade

My friend a Suns Board member said to me 2 weeks ago when all the Treloar stuff came out “ don’t believe a word that is written in the papers about Treloar not leaving, we are into him big time and our pick 5 is on the table for a suitable trade”
I said what about 2MP and he said his $600k contract is our biggest issue. He said they had to pay big bucks on his last contract after losing Lynch and May.
If he came to us as part of the Treloar deal we would have to balance out the $1.2m over the next 2 years with a 3 year contract at $1.4m ( $465k per year)

than would bring in pick 5 and a win win for both clubs. Pies then dumping off Treloar’s 5 year contract and about $2.6m in cap space over that timeframe.

i like an optimist.... unfortunately he's above the max height criteria of 192cm

Agree on his trade proposals but he is likely to still have info about clubs having interest in players. Especially ones from the club he only recently got the chop from.
