FWIW I'd take Cripps over Lynch...doesn't solve our forward line issue but **** me could you imagine our midfield.
Higgins, Caddy/Cotchin/Martin/Cripps, Castagna
Rioli, Jack, Caddy/Cotchin/Martin/Cripps

Whichever 2 arent in there go in Mid with Prestia and Lambert

That Cerra kid goes ok , Richmond supporter and a good size that has not signed an extension yet

Dom Tyson is another we could possibly get on the cheap for a 2nd rounder,Another Richmond supporter that we were really into the year before he was traded to Melbourne ,186cm and can rack them up on the inside

Cerra still has a year to go though. If Bolton wanted to go home maybe him and a pick could get it done. They will want overs so probably best to wait until he’s not contracted. I’d have Tyson in a heartbeat, would be getting a game for us right now in my opinion. Anyone think we need another experienced ruck for next year or happy with what we have developing?

I think you might be selling Dom a bit short their , Their is a major lift in talent between the 2

I would take Dom Tyson in a heart beat over Anthony Miles
They are both inside and inside only. Miles can’t get a game so what makes you think Tyson could?

As we are nearing the midway point of the season, we felt it was apt to start this thread up again.

Who are we targeting?
Who should we target?
What will our trade strategy be?
What position are we lacking?

Tom Lynch discussion is welcome here, however, if possible, keep in the Tom Lynch thread.

High draft pick, not getting the opportunities he wants due to great midfield depth at his second club, but proven performer at AFL level. Plenty of footy left in him. Reminds me a bit of the Caddy situation...

He is Bigger & Better than Miles not sure about pace but Miles is pretty slow , Tyson not playing due to the quality of the melbourne midfield specially their inside mids.

Having Dom Tyson would allow more open space for all Dusty,Cotchin,Prestia & Caddy , The Kid didnt go #3 for no reason he has what it takes and could be a Josh Kennedy type trade

With the draft looking very good this year.I'd rather bring in a FA or 2.Fwd & Mid.
Keep our picks and load up on mids.
Even strengthen our position by offering up one of our premiership players if possible. Ones who are expendable at the right price & value is at its peak.

Players we are targeting- Tom Lynch

Players I think are gettable without breaking the bank that I’d like us to consider as I think the position they play is an area we could improve in- Wallis, Tyson, Murphy (doubt he would come to Richmond though) Roughead or Nicholls (replaces Hampson as an experienced ruck and can drive his mate Tom Lynch to training )

I think we will target a couple of free agents after understandingly being quiet last year and bringing in 7 kids. Then keep our picks for young mids.

Trade bait that would have some currency: Brandon Ellis as he would free up cap space for Lynch.
Bolton: could be anything and I’d hate to see him go but we have a lot of small forwards. Also who knows what Ralphy boy has planned for him.

If this draft is as good as many are saying, we will go to the draft with as many picks as we can get. Its what Hartley and the list staff have done in the past. Good draft = load up on picks, Ordinary shallow draft = trade.
