Sorry dude - that wasn't a dig, I just temporarily confused you with Yojimbo, who usually writes in haiku.
Yes ! It had me confused - thinking I must be usually even more incoherent then I thought.
You had me reading dannnnn's posts to pick up a few hints on clarity.

Well thank you
But that was my gypsy half sister medusa- her spells from the necromonicon are only reserved for finals - otherwise they would lose their potency. So we will have to wait until September 2017 for her and me to start rubbing ourselves with excrement again. Thank god!

Apparently Greg Denham votes for the winner of Trade Week and the winner is GWS

Denham - the same bloke who said 'the Eagles will smash them...', 'oh no, the Hawks will do it easily...', 'GWS, they're certainties', 'Sydney, they'll win'.

Put a monkey in front of a computer and you'd get more sense.

:$
Umm OK just had a look back...that thread is closed now but here's the posts...bizarre you deny it - better off just saying yeah he/she was off the mark there. I guess even you lose track of the erm stuff you post

And just be clear here the context is me posting this earlier:

To which you replied you didn't say it and no source told you that :drunk:

Let's be fair, he did get Cloke and M Boyd right...they came out of no where :$

I'm voting you for poster of the year, all the sacrificing you did with all that poo puts you above the rest

The way Quayle paints it, Bev was not interested in Deledio until GWS showed an interest, and then we tried to get him to keep him out of their hands.

Thats probably the first ive heard of some team going for a player in such a strategic manner - to deny a specific other team, rather than to address an issue in their own team.

How do we feel about that?
I can see the logicand Delidio is a true A grader. We could offer less cuz of the Melb factor too.
Seems like Delidio might have taken one for the Tiges to give them best picks. We could have been toyed with- to up the leverage on GWS.

Lol some people have way too much spare time how long ago was that don't even remember it.

Of well that's what I heard at that time and I wasn't the only one saying cats were pushin hard to get a lot for Vardy but he failed 2 medicals another clubs so I assume his price plummeted.

No idea what eagles even paid for him but well done.

Gotta love blokes that troll back months to find stuff people get wrong loL

And 3 out of the 4 things I said in that post were real but let's not worry about that will we

Let's be fair though,I'm not sure people need to go back months to find something you said that was wrong and I'm not sure how relevant it is when you keep saying others said the same as if that in someway makes your information more credible. Wrong is wrong, even a lot of the cryptic stuff you mentioned, which gives you a bit of scope, proves to be nowhere near the mark. Great effort for trying but you should pur your hand up when your a fairway off the mark.
By the way,can you tell me a little more about these two medicals Vardy failed?
Also,in fairness, how did you get 3 things right. If your counting Cloke and Boyd that's hardly groundbreaking but there was no mystery player that you mentioned. Did you say we'd get Houli also? And you were adamant Jong was out the door, you even called him selfish and ungrateful if I recall, but he stayed. Thanks for the info though but not much turned out true.

Please don't be so juvenile. This is pointless.

If you look back you can see all I said was I wouldn't have much faith in whatever source told you Geelong wanted a late first for Vardy. Only searched the posts cause you said it never happened.

Anyway sorry BF last thing this thread needs again sorry

Out of all the players traded, who is the slam dunk that would have improved our premiership chances in 2017?

Yes I was keen on deledio and JOM at his best would be handy, but both have question marks on their fitness.

Prestia? Does he get games in our midfield? Caddy? No

Lewis? Mitchell? Maybe, but would they fit into our plans?

There was no players that moved clubs that would have been a slam dunk for us. Yes there are risks in any move we would make, we had a crack at Hurley but he stayed, it's hard getting players without question marks out of clubs.

So I'm happy we are sticking with our plan, drafting and developing our list, with the view to add via trade and FA from 2017.

Hamling lol

You only need to read the "R1 best 22" thread to witness the amazing depth our list reveals. We didn't over-try for a simple reason..... we didn't need to. Can the folks still whining about being ripped off with our fringe trades TRY and see where the Hrovats, Stevens and Hamlings fit into our team. Simple..... they don't. Uncontracted, non core players will never get you more than low grade picks. Get used to it. As for Deledio or O'Meara... pffft. Forget Hammer time...its Bailey time. Williams and Dale are going to be huge chances for best 22 as they reek football talent. It actually could happen that much loved sons Boyd, Morris and Murph are struggling by season end to hold a spot in 22. Murph is obviously a selection for next years GF team regardless of form.... coz he's Murph ! :thumbsu:

Agree. Why make wholesale changes to a squad that won both the AFL and VFL if you have to pay overs? Drafting always a solid option if there is no gaping holes in the list

Yep. And a few have said there was not a bad player in the GWS 22 once SJ was included. Champion team....Team of champions. I know what we are.... and I love it

We are adding more next year than GWS are with Steve J and Deledio

Exactly. A recurring theme on the GWS board through their saltiness has a number of their posters admitting we have more scope for upside than their squad of 24 year olds. I've commented on a few threads that we/AFL need to harness this growing rivalry and pencil in blockbuster opportunity ie Good Friday

In the end you can only play 22 players each week, our depth as it's
called will soon become another teams and so goes on the cycle of
life in AFL football. Whether we pruned the trees back hard enough
will only be revealed in the fullness of time.o_O
