I'm a lot more comfortable with Schache being our CHF for next season than Shoenmakers. Remember when we were linked to him?

Ok, so we traded Stringer for 25 + 30. That gave us #9; #25; #28 and #30. So what if Carlton refuses to trade 25 + 30 for 16? We send Brisbane what for Schache? 28 and 30? We would have been left with #9 and #25. Is that a better outcome? Remember the Schache deal was completed with 30 seconds to spare according to David Noble. We'll never know whether arguing over the 2018 second would have meant we ran out of time to do Schache but I'm pretty sure that Dalrymple would much rather have 9 and 16 this draft period and forgo 25 or 30 or whatever next year's second is going to be.
In response to the bolded bit, I believe what you are actually asking is whether 9, 25 and our future 2nd is better than 9 and 16. I think the former is better than the latter. My view is influenced by the hype surrounding the 2018 draft, of which I am no expert. But I know we will be keen on Rhylee West at the 2018 draft and we may now be in a difficult position from that regard.

We were being screwed by other clubs because they knew we would have trouble actually using 28 and 30 at this draft. This is significant and is related to all of the contracts that have been signed to date. Could we have offered one less year to player A or player B at an earlier point? Because that may well have allowed us to get better "value" from 28 and 30, at the point that we were trying to offload them.

We found ourselves in a position that was hard to manoeuvre out of (too many contracted players to make good use of 2nd round picks in this draft), but it was only our own list management choices during contract negotiations that caused this to be the case.

Biggest thing I learned is that the threat of taking a player back isn’t real.

Weller (admittedly they got a great deal), Stringer, Schache, Watts all got done.

Easy for me to say but the sooner the players see it as a business decision to be put on the trade table, the better
Biggest thing I learned was that if you got to the loo about ten new pages of posts appear!

Schtinger now known as the 'mercurial forward' now he's at Essenscum.

Up until 10mins ago he was known as 'damaged goods', 'want-away'...

As long as they still call him Jesse I don't give one single ****

Ha ha ha, yeah I, for one, won’t miss that mate!
And the dropped marks and missed goals.

I dont know a hell of a lot about Schacke but they reckon he is a good kick wouldnt that be nice for a change? We have a long history of bad kicks for goal in out forward line going all the way back to the pieman!

Honeychurch and Crameri will both be delisted

We still need to make 2 changes

Out Murphy, Boyd, Stringer, Hamilton

In Trengove, Schache, Crozier
