Would hope he gets that but tbf it was our fault we offered the contract, personally I wouldn’t take less than I’m worth just because I was overpaid previously - hope he stays still think he’s an important part of our forward half as a high impact player in a relatively one paced and wasteful offence, would be a mistake to genuinely lowball him or push him out imo

Either way whether he goes or stays for well less than his current contract it’s a good result for our cap

It's a good point. Kozi and Fritsch are/can be top 20 goal kickers but they do need taller options around them.

You'd think if Jackson goes they will be getting some pretty incredible assets back that they'll probably use in that area of the ground. Interesting to see what happens.

Jones situation is this. When a player retires, they can’t return for 18 months.

They are arguing it should only be 12 months given the unique circumstances and if they allow that, the Blues want compensation. Compensation coming from the AFL, not us.

I put Libba of the Tom variety in my top 5 players I have seen at the Dogs. His vision, clean hands great handball, has a kick that he weights so well its accurate and covers good distance, that ability to take other players with him, to win the ball in tight and get it out, to hunger for the contest is what makes him so unique.

Yes he’s 30 so I hope to continue to enjoy him for a while yet but Dunkley, Garcia and young West will help fill the void (not totally ) when Libba is done

I know it might just be ‘out of form player not getting a game’, which in itself isn’t news, but…with all of Hunters issues, he’d be on decent coin, and he was one of our first picked for years? Worth at least an eyebrow raise and a ‘hmmm’ I reckon.

West is youth & mirrors Dunks to 80-90%, Dunks vacates, = First round, thanks, plus cash in the bank for us! West into the Mid.

I'm not sure what others will say but I've said for a couple of years now that West will be an elite midfielder. Has strength, smarts and vision and good skills.
