I'd look at Jarrod Waite as the closest comparison, of which Carlton got nothing for him when he walked to North at the same age and what you'd assume would be a similar if not bigger contract.

Very, very different players but agree about giving Young away for peanuts.

Jones played 66 games for us and 95 for Carlton. Would be so good if he gets to 100 for us then has lots of sons who are magnificent footballers.

Thing is Carlton chose to delist jones when they had the option to keep him on the inactive list, just as west coast did with darling and saints did with one of their afl girls.
Should not be entitled to any compensation.
Saints would have more of a case with mcartin to be honest.

Jones is a no brainer. There's every chance that Keath is actually cooked and not just playing injured.

We absolutely still need to push for Logue type to revamp our key backs entirely. If Keath is no good, Jones, Gardner & Logue is a reasonable trio to work with.

Crameri couldnt recover from his ASADA invoked holiday either, Bruce has only just started playing again, has been training with the team for a few months and is still nowhere near match fit. Im suspect about hyping a player that's been out of it for that long from the top level.

Hes already doing pre-season training
He left his QLD club last week due to a clause in the contract if he gets hurt, it becomes invalid
