As soon as Bailey kicked that match winner against Brisbane in '21 he was out the door.
We were never going to keep someone with that much potential marketability.
The marketability factor is so overblown for mine, just because he has 15 year old instagram followers doesn't mean he actually helps move the needle on memberships, product etc...

I will say that Ads was known as a fantastic teammate/bloke at the pies, may have been his anxiety disorder lying to him that he wasn't (although you are correct that focusing on a more rounded, holistic viewpoint is absolutely a fantastic remedy for anxiety)
Listen to his appearance on the Dyl & Friends podcast, you're just guessing at this point.

He talks about he he in the past how would be happy/satisfied even if the team lost as long he played well. He also talks about how things changed in the last 24 months, including leaning on his faith, investing hours into Sanders and Charlie Clarke and many other things that have helped with his anxiety + becoming a better teammate.

Hence why we need to grow up as a club and tell him to get ****ed and send him to the PSD,

If you want out fine **** off but make sure the club you pick can trade for you
Sadly the AFL world doesn't work like that

The deal will be done, we can only hope we look to trade the two second rounders to Gold Coast Future 1st

Personal product- he was huge for the tweeners after 2021 before he imploded. He has that lolly drink that's popular & that deodorant product now.
Idk I'm glad to be rid of him tbh.

We're not going to forgo those picks out of spite.

Direct you're ire at the AFL who continue to allow players a disproportionate amount of leverage when running down contracts and requesting a move to a single club.

This, plus you are not going to completely burn bridges with every single football player represented by Connor Sports Management either.

From the other perspective though if we take unders for him it's only going to continue the precedent into the future.
If Geelong offer their first (which very well could be in the 20s) then I'd happily forgo that to let clubs know we aren't going to be pushed over.

This to from the other perspective, if I were Smith and Geelong (or any club for that matter) sold me the dream then I'd be mightily annoyed that they pryed me out only to back out when they couldn't get a steal resulting in me playing the rest of my career at Tigers or North.

We will roll over as we are a little club and are suppose to hand over our players to the big boys. Same old, same old. We don’t get big games, no one wants to play for us as we can’t offer the “deals” Geelong do and the AFL wants/needs Hawks to be successful. We don’t shut up and take it, we will get screwed again by the fixture. Take it to the bank. We have to stay in our place

So basically what I'm hearing is we will probably just bend over here.

Pushed over Friday night, likely pushed over with this trade. Fantastic.

Look forward to the day when we're not such a push over on and off the ground...

why would doggies bend over?

Sam Power hasn't bent over for anyone yet? Told Essendon to GAGF when we got Dunkley to request a trade
