Another better option than Petrie

Darling is young forward with 100 games plus experience , cops criticism but plenty of clubs would be interested and for a good reason .

Who's gonna play the second/third tall if he leaves anyway?

Lamb? lololol

I don't mind him, but given he's a 4th round selection not getting many opportunities you'd suggest he hasn't improved much from that position.

Our pick 66 would be the same price as what Adelaide paid for him in 2011.
Not sure he's improved enough for them to ask for a 3rd round pick...
Not sure. Maybe pick 50ish.

Ok I would do those deals he's looked OK when I've seen him play and probably is tough to make Adel midfield when everyone at Adel is fit .

I agree with this. I can't understand why Ellis-Yolman isn't getting a game for Adelaide, he is a bigger body midfielder (189 cm, 92km) and every time I have seen him play he seems to play well. Surely wouldn't cost much either.
Yeo don't just get gifted a game just because you're a bigger body.

Conigs signed a 2 year extension

Why not take this year as an opportunity to develop a young rookie ruckman, rather than a 34 year old.

The upside of a 20-something ruckman turning into a Sinclair is far greater than what we get from Petrie.

Plus the bar is set pretty low in terms of performance if Petrie is the benchmark.

Exactly. There is no guarantee that Nic, or even Lycett for that matter, will come back anywhere near 100%. It is therefore imperative that we get a young ruckman with potential who will be coached up by one of the best ruckmen of all time who was also thrown to the wolves as a young guy backing up Michael Gardiner.

Lycett reported as facing a Reconstruction in the off season .

Giles in for a big 2017
Reported by who?

Vozzo quoted today saying that they were getting a second opinion on Friday in Melbourne but didn't say what the first opinion was

Darling plays one WAFL game since drafted and on the way back from injury , kicks six goals straight ....our current backup forwards cant get close to any sort of dominance .

I agree, I too was filthy with the way he played against the Bulldogs but after taking some time to digest the game, you do have to realise his age as a key forward player, he still has a good amount of time to improve and become the player that was talked about possibly going early in the draft when we were close to picking him with Pick 4. His grand final mistake definitely cost us momentum but that game was lost by quarter time when Rioli tore us a new one. Jack Darling to me is probably the least of our worries really.

Instead of trading out players who have some iffy moments in games, we need to focus on getting a Hanners / D Martin type aggressive midfielder. A goal kicking midfielder.
And to teach Sheed how to not have games where he gets less than 10 disposals. That's not great and I love watching him play.
