But you need to only have 38 min
they can go into the season 38+6 rookies
Can't see this happening at all purely as GWS will get much better offers from other clubs.Come across this.
If Gws can't get a deal done for pick 3.
We will offer picks 38/39 & next year's 1st for pick 6.(38 on Green)
Apparently we're very keen on Trent Rivers or Devon Robertson.
Rapt it happened.We keep 19.
6/19/41/56.
No doubt other clubs have better offers. But are they in position too do so?We,re premiers with great depth.West Coast & GWS are the only 2 sides imo who can do a similar deal without harming their future.West Coast proved that by selling the farm to get kelly. Can't see this happening at all purely as GWS will get much better offers from other clubs.
Offering future picks will be very popular given next year's Draft and taking one from the premiership favourite seems negligent by GWS to say the least.
Yep it's Moore.AFL website headline says Essendon is interested in a "former" Tiger.
Is it Moore?
I hope he gets a gig somewhere.
Wouldn't lose any sleep if they delisted Markov, Chol tomorrow to be honest.
Are they in a position to trade a future pick and steak knives for pick 6? Yes, I'd argue that just about every club is a position to do that.No doubt other clubs have better offers. But are they in position too do so?We,re premiers with great depth.West Coast & GWS are the only 2 sides imo who can do a similar deal without harming their future.West Coast proved that by selling the farm to get kelly.
Would be extremely happy to get Robertson as the kid broke Sam Walshs disposal record in the U18 champs averaging 30 per game to go with 6.8 tackles 4.3 marks and 4.8 clearances per game.Come across this.

Most clubs will baulk at giving up a future 1st rnd pick.particularly with giving up another 2.Are they in a position to trade a future pick and steak knives for pick 6? Yes, I'd argue that just about every club is a position to do that.
The trade is not a high risk trade and too one sided.
A side like GWS who may have a number of academy kids next year may look at stockpiling first round picks to allow them easier access to them.Don't think any club will baulk at giving up a future 1st in one of the most heavily compromised drafts in recent history. If there ever was a time to trade a future first, this is the year.
Time will tell.
I agree and that's my point, it makes perfect sense to future trade, but we have the least appealing offer considering we're expected to push for the flag in 2020.A side like GWS who may have a number of academy kids next year may look at stockpiling first round picks to allow them easier access to them.
We also have an academy kid who is a chance of being a high pick so trading out makes sense especially if were getting a couple of first round kids this year.
The thing is that sides that aren't contenders are going to be less likely to trade out if the first round unless they are getting a much deal coming back.I agree and that's my point, it makes perfect sense to future trade, but we have the least appealing offer considering we're expected to push for the flag in 2020.
I'm all for future trading next year's 1st round pick to get earlier picks this year but so many other clubs could easily trump our offer... That's all I'm saying.
I think that the only scenario that GWS would look at is trading for future picks. They are going to lose whatever picks they get/have in this draft matching a bid on Greene who will probably be bid on with 3-4, thereby effectively losing pick 6 plus half the discount for Academy. Our problem here is by trading our picks 38, 39 plus next years 1st then effectively for GWS all they have done is trade pick 6 for pick 19 as 38 and 39 will be used to match the Greene bid.The thing is that sides that aren't contenders are going to be less likely to trade out if the first round unless they are getting a much deal coming back.
GWS are only offering up pick 6. A side I'd be concerned about is Adelaide who could offer their picks in the 20s, to get themselves 2 top 10 picks
yeah, the most likely is GWS trading #6 and next years 1st (which would be downgraded for them anyway cos they would be in deficit) for #3 from the Dees. Would give the Dees #6 & #8 which is still in the 'sweet spot' this year and gives them an extra 1st next year.We have 0 chance to get GWS pick #6
we dont have the assets
We have 0 chance to get GWS pick #6
we dont have the assets
Efa.I dont have any assets to keep Mrs Gun happy.
That's what I want to see happen. Looking through the pool of players there is plenty of talent that fit the requirements we need to address.I don’t think we have the motivation either. I still believe we had a plan if we got 19 for Ellis, but once that didn’t happen we’ve had to sit tight and focus on the draft.

The Dees wont get Greene as GWS will match......Why would the Dees help GWS if they are after Green as well?
