There are a few other examples as well

It remains to be seen if it pays off long term and results in success on field but they are definitely making good deals for mine

Every time I watched Scully play this year he was awful. He’s not the player he once was and was down every key statistic from 2017 (his last full season) to 2019.

Frost is a B grade 26 year old key defender. He has some nice traits but Melbourne fans sh*t themselves when he’s running the ball out of defence due to his sub par kicking skills and decision making. I think what they paid for him is a fair price.

What else have they done recently?

They got Scrimshaw for peanuts. I’m not sold he will make it though. Bit of a nothing recruit who wasn’t getting a gig at the Gold Coast (G’day Jack’s dad if you’re reading). Fortunately they didn’t cough up too much for him.

Tom Mitchell was a win in hindsight, but at the time pick 14 was about right for him as he was a fringe midfielder at Sydney.

They paid massive overs for Wingard. They got Wingard plus Port’s future third for Ryan Burton and pick 18 (Duursma) and pick 40 which was then on traded to Brisbane.

Jaeger O’Meara cost them a first and second rounder. About fair price. I don’t think O’Meara is in the top echelon of midfielders and I don’t think he ever will be due to his knee.

Sounds like they’ll cough up a pick in the 30s for Patton, who is garbage.

I don’t think they’ve done well personally. Mitchell is obviously the big win but the rest is meh.

Would be a great get for them. Need a couple of ready made players who can slot straight in and while they're fringe 22 for us both could be best 22 at a rebuilding Fremantle.

Absolutely I just think they will think pick 22 is a little steep

Might be able to work out a swap of picks in the back end to make it work

The way things have been trending it just seems that unless a player is top 5 on a teams list they get next to nothing on the trade table pick wise

If they want the both of them that would be what I would ask for
Kmac a contracted, required player who hasn’t requested a trade, no reason to role over on him. Menadue some pretty handy steak knives in that as well, still has elite traits if he can put them all together.

Don't forget Freo can't use pick 22 as it will be absorbed by the Liam Henry bid.

Could be an opportunity to package later picks 38, 39, 41 to them as they are one of the rare clubs who need the points.

But I doubt we could do that as they will get picks from the Hill trade.
